ploopy
On my ASUS Prime b250-PLUS Motherboard I have two sticks of Corsair Vengeance 8GB 2400MHz, would it improve my performance more if I were to upgrade to two more of what I currently have or replace the two I have with one or two of higher speeds (and a similar cost)? Thank you in advance.
LeDoyen
Had a look at the manual.. This chipset only supports 2400mhz on 7th gen processors. so your 6700K should currently be running at 2133mhz apparently. Even if you had a 7th gen processor, again the chipset does not go over 2400. Higher speeds are only available on the Z series like Z270. Right now you are pretty much limited by the motherboard itself.
ploopy
A mobo upgrade is likely to be next on my list as it won't allow a 9th gen processor and, like you said, higher speed RAM.
Infin1tum
for 9th gen and Z370/390, look for at least 3200C16 will probably also be cheaper than 2400C14 since it's much more commonly used.
