ferchito1w08
I bought and installed my new iCUE H150i RGB PRO XT, I made sure all the cables are properly connected, but the RGB is still off, windows and ICUE software if they detect it, but I can't turn on the RGB. I read that the power supply must have 3v sata, I have attached a photo of my current power supply so they can tell me if it is compatible and which power supply I should buy. bennymx
Make sure the pump is plugged in from a SATA cable directly connected to the PSU. If its on a molex it won't work. Direct power from PSU only.

Corsair Employees Corsair Jam Posted October 16, 2020 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 16, 2020 Take a closer look at your PSU's SATA cable and make sure you see five pins coming from it. As you know, the pump's LEDs uses the 3.3V, which some PSU manufacturers may opt to skip. Regarding PSU recommendations, any of our PSUs will work or any major reputable companies that have been around.
Robbie_Jardine
Do you have the USB plugged into the CPU block and attached to the motherboard USB header?

Thanks for answering corsair, I attach a photo of the sata cable of my PSU is 4 pins, does it mean that for that reason it does not turn on the rgb of my h1501 pro xt? Does any corsair PSU I buy come with those 5 pins?
Corsair Employees Corsair Travis Posted October 22, 2020 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 22, 2020 Thanks for providing that picture. Yes, the 5th wire is what supplies your cooler the 3.3V necessary to power the LEDs. Without that 5th wire, it can not work. Not all power supplies have this 5th wire. You are safe with any CORSAIR Power Supply, but if you were to buy another brand you would have to find out if it has the 3.3V on the SATA connectors. ferchito1w08
I bought a corsair 750 w PSU, and indeed now if my iCUE H150i RGB PRO XT works, the lights turn on and the software works perfect, my previous PSU did not have the 5 sata cable that was the problem, thanks.
