SirSpankie
Hi all! So I've decided to upgrade my case to a Corsair 500d. Since budget is tight, I'll be using my old hardware untill I can get a new system. Problem is, my motherboard is an Asus ROG Rampage II Extreme. It's classified as an ATX mob, but it's 1 inch wider (10.6inch) than regular ATX boards (9.6inch). Will the board fit in the case properly, or will I have some issues like the board covering the cable routing holes? Help is greatly appreciated! :)
IronCrossMac
I just looked at mine, since it's easy to check while I'm in mid build, and it looks like that extra inch will protrude about a quarter inch into the cable routing holes, which may make the mobo contact the grommets they have installed, or the case, because that area is angled into the case to accommodate the 3.5" drive bays behind it. Hopefully that makes sense.
