mr_spray
My ASUS P6X58D-E mobo (Intel X58 chipset) is fitted with 3x 2GB DDR3 1600Mhz modules running in Triple channel. I would like to upgrade to either 12GB or 16GB total RAM. The manual states that when using DDR3-1600 that only one DIMM per channel is supported. The mobo supports 1GB, 2GB or 4GB unbuffered non-ECC DDR3 DIMMs. My CPU is an Intel Core i7 950. Current memory modules: Corsair DDR3 3x2GB TR3X6G1600C9 9-9-9-24 1600Mhz I am looking for some product recommendations as I don't want to buy the wrong spec memory. I use my system for gaming and general desktop use.
