dc8flyer
Aurora 2009 i7 990x 58 chip 12G Corsair 1866 Samsung 860 2T SSD H80i v2 water cooler W10 latest version Link v 4.9.7.35 Everything else up to date. The H80i v2 and 3000rpm ippc fans all working great as well as the Link when playing games, however I've noticed a couple of issues and wanted to check if these are known. 1) The link added eight seconds to my POST time. No big deal and fans throttle slightly three times before settling down and then run just fine. 2) If running Link when not playing a game I've noticed other software will on occasion freeze up. Normally I would end the process thru task manager but today for some reason I decided to close the Link and everything started working immediately. When not running the Link the other software will not lock up. So the Link is causing the freeze. The other software is Edge and a brokering (bank), iTunes also had a bit of an issue as well. I didn't make the connection until today when I closed the Link and everything started working again immediately.
Corsair Employees Corsair Lettuce Posted August 10, 2018 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 10, 2018 What version of Corsair Link are you currently running? Have you tried to either repair or a clean install of the software itself?
dc8flyer
What version of Corsair Link are you currently running? Have you tried to either repair or a clean install of the software itself? Link v 4.9.7.35 Have not tried to uninstall/reinstall as it works perfect when running a game. It is only on occasion when it is open that is causes an issue with non games, just browsing or causing iTunes to open slowly. Would the increase in POST time be considered normal, especially for my older system? Or should it not have any effect regardless? If I uninstall/reinstall are the preferences-graphs saved?
