H80 in a dell setup

So I got a new H100i too my system and I wanted too give my "leftover" H80 (fully working) too my little brother using a dell setup. It fits in the case but the problem is that the dell mainboard only got a 5 pin connector too cpu fan.

Which gives me no option too connect the h80 too the mainboard.

Can H80 run without the connection too the mainboard?

Or is it possible too get an molex if necessary too run the 3 pin from h80 directly too psu aswell?

Or if someone knows a way too get the 5 pin connection from the dell PC converted too a regular 3 pin.

It's a dell optiplex 390, socket 1155 i5 3470 550 watt psu etc.

(picture taken from google) but the same mainboard

Normally, the Dell proprietary 5 pin connector is a write-off and you need to power the unit from the CPU or SYS fan headers. However, it's late and I am a little bleary-eyed, but I do not see any fan headers on that board. Is there a second "daughter board" on that set-up with some other circuits? Are they physically on the case frame? If not, a molex to 3/4 pin would be the only options.

There were some guys on Alienware/Dell site who were making homemade 5 pin connectors for a while. However, that was some time ago and I do not follow what goes on there these days. I had some old links to the discussions, but it looks like Dell has been reorganizing and they are no longer valid. The Dell or Alienware forums may be the best place to find specific answers about what the board can or cannot provide. The new H100i v2 need a 12V supply. Beyond that, it is can function on its own. However, I have serious doubts as to whether you will be able to control some aspects of the unit with Link. Previously, Dell motherboards were fussy with the USB connection. I don't know if this is still true.

Hello there! And thanks for the support! Sorry for the blurry picture! I reuploaded a new one showing where the fan/s "should" be insert.

So basically the H80 can run without the connection too the mainboard? I think it's the easiest way too go. But still not sure. I found some "dell" 5 pin too 4 pin converters but all out of stock or on the other side of the world.

Also I found a picture showing what all the cables r going too.
