ricsom
Hi guys, a quick question about the fan controller on 780T: it starts always at full speed (3 of 3), every time i have to change it back again to my favorite speed (1 of 3)... is this ok? Thank You ric
Corsair Employee Greybeard Posted February 17, 2016 Corsair Employee Share Posted February 17, 2016 hey ric, That is perfectly normal. You'll just have to dial it down to your favorite (lower) speed from a cold boot.

MrFurious
@Greybeard The fan controller defaults to HIGH from a cold boot, warm boot, hibernate, sleep, basically any instance where your pc is powered down. This is what I'm experiencing with my recently purchased 780t. Surely this can't be right corsair?... what type of fan controller automatically defaults to high setting every time you sleep your pc? Kindof defies the whole point of a fan controller doesn't it. I'm constantly having to get up from my seat and cycle through the fan speed button so it will stay on LOW. The weird thing is some people don't experience this behavior and the fan controller seems to remember the speed setting. Are there some batches of these cases which have updated fan controllers? Is there any other possible explanation why some controllers exhibit this behavior yet others don't, or even better.. why the controller defaults to HIGH in any case?
