Mondaymorning
Hi I recently ordered a HG10 A1 for my sapphire R9 290. It is still on the way. I wonder if HG10 A1 fits other liquid cooler since I have a DEEPCOOL CAPTAIN 120 liquid cooler. Or I have to buy another corsair hydro series liquid cooler? Thanks a lot!! Toasted
I would give it a try. It should work as the bracket has the standard Intel mounting holes but i cannot any guarantees it will work fine though.
Mondaymorning
Thank you for your reply. Since it has standard Intel and AMD mount. What could prevent it from working fine? Everything should be the same as mounting it to a CPU, I guess.
Toasted
Lots of space for the pump as it will block some PCi-e slots. Other than that, the standoffs and thumbscrews to mount the cooler are included (According to the product page) so there shouldn't be an issue there. Mondaymorning
Thanks. One more thing. I heard corsair liquid cooler has its own software to control the fan speed according to CPU temperature. If I use it as GPU cooler, will this software tune fan speed according to GPU temperature? Toasted
Yes it can but, you will need to get a Hydro Series i cooler that is made by CoolIT. I would check if your motherboard software can control fans based off the GPU temp first. If it can, just plug the fans into the motherboard. If it can't, you can consider purchasing a Corsair cooler.
