K95 - recognised by windows,not by firmware update / corsair software installation

Hi all,

 

Just received my K95, and wanted to update the firmware / install the corsair software.

Unfortunatly, neither the firmware update, nor the setup for the corsair software detect the keyboard. Windows does recognise the keyboard as "Corsair K95W Gaming Keyboard", though.

Backlight, media buttons and volume control are functional.

 

I've already removed the Logitech Gaming Software, thinking this might conflict (Device Manager was showing a "logitech virtual keyboard), and also rebooted my laptop, to no avail.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Have you tried running the firmware updater as admin?

Have you tried the firmware update on another computer?

ok, never mind...

somehow, I had the setup/firmware update for the K90, not the K95...

could have sworn I downloaded the correct driver.

 

downloaded the correct package, and issue resolved
