rpenny
Hello, I just bought a Corsair K70 keyboard today and I am really liking it. However, the numeric keys on the right of the keyboard do not seem to work. I am using a laptop with Windows 8.1. It's an older laptop, Sony Vaio VGN-C290. Here is the situation: With NumLock ON, nothing happens when I press the numbers. With NumLock OFF, the 2,4,6,8 keys will work as directions arrows as it should. I plugged the keyboard into my desktop with Windows 7. and the keyboard works perfectly. Can anyone help me here? I bought this keyboard for use with my laptop. I would hate to have to return it. Thank you.
Toasted
Check your laptop keyboard settings (If there is any) and see if you can fix it. If you can, plug another keyboard and see if the number pad works or not.
rpenny
Plugged in another full size keyboard and it does the same thing with my laptop. I don't know why it does this, maybe the BIOS or motherboard does not recognize the nun pad?
Toasted
Have a look in the BIOS and your settings in Windows and see if you can resolve it. You can also try contacting Sony and see if they have a solution.
rpenny
I never figured out what the problem is, I do not see anything in the BIOS that could have an effect on the keyboard. I'm going to transition to my desk top PC since it works there.
