Hey all

I hope someone can help im in a bit of trouble .

Ive just upgraded my Ram getting many crashes but ive installed it and now just get a blank screen . Just put the old ram back in and PC is fine.

Ive bought this RAM

Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 Mhz CL9 XMP

It says on the motherboard website they are compatible. Im guessing its something to do with the settings but I dont have a clue how to change them in the bios or of thats the problem .

any help greatly appreciated.

Hey hey i got the same RAM as u do and I too have issues with it.I can't get it to work at 1600mhz and 9,9,9,24 timings. If i set it to 1600mhz and auto the rest i get 11,13,13,35 timings which is totaly off from advertised.Don't wanna make a new thread so will just pile on.Prime 95 blend test freezes pc after 1 min.Was just playing Sleeping dogs and pc shut down then on again.Usualy it just freezes.Any help would be appriciated.I do have FX 8120 OC'd to 4ghz and prime small fft's ran for 6 hrs w/o errors.Update...

Is your CPU overclocked via multi only or did you also raise BCLK?

Can you please show us screenshots of the following CPU-Z tabs: CPU, Memory, SPD (chose a slot with one your Vengeance sticks) or your UEFI settings?

Long story short: The board should not default to timings of 11-13-13-35 unless the system is in an overclocked state, where the memory clock is above the kits rated speed. Your kit probably only has SPD / JEDEC profiles up to DDR3-1333 and uses a XMP for its rated specs (DDR3-1600 9-9-9-24). Luckily ASUS AM3 motherboards have an option to use kits with Intel Xtreme Memory Profiles called D.O.C.P.. It should be mentioned in the user manual.
