Commander mini questions

Blofeld2k

Recommended Posts

Hi,

just installed my Commander Mini but found a couple of strange things:

- None of the 4 temperature inputs are recognized/showing anything but 0°C?

- The CPU-temp is alternating 0°C and the correct temp with about 5 seconds intervals?

Anyone know how to fix this?

Are you running any other programs that read temperature values?

Have you tried resetting the software? Does it help?

Hi,

I was using Asus AI suite II, but I disabled it according to http://www.overclock.net/t/1139980/how-to-disable-ai-suite-from-startup

so as far as I know it is not running anymore. The only other tool is MSI afterburner, but I can't see how that would cause my problems?

If by "reset" you mean re-install then yes.

With Windows 7 you should not need the kluge. What CL Mini firmware is installed? If it's 1.1.05 that has a bug and you need to update to 1.1.06 to get the temperatures.

In you exit CL and then run my SIV (http://rh-software.com/) utility and post screen shots of [uSB Bus], [Link Devices] and [Link Status] I should be able to provide more insight into the issues. Given the Intel Core Temp is sometimes zero the [status] panel may also help.

Which version of CL are you using?

You will see the red-ray's PC Specs you should fill yours in so we know such things as the motherboard model and hence the chipset.

It's always good to hear SIV is an excellent tool

Looking at the screen shots all you CL hardware is working well.

I suspect if you exit CL, delete the profiles in C:\Users\blofeld\AppData\Roaming\Corsair\Profiles\, restart CL and create a new profile and it may start working. Failing that wait for CL 3 and hope it does better.

I was going to submit the same question here, but I will write my weird problem here:

Besides my link mini forgets the light settings after restart and the fan control is quite jumpy and cpu temperature and four temperature sensors don't work (only shows temperatures in taskbar section) it has a really weird problem in my system. Like after restart the first and second fan starts to jump speed up and down (like the light settings on "pulse") - BUT after some time (like half an hour or so) it stops. But when i restart it starts again and it's really annoying when you case should be quiet but two fans are speeding up and down like there is no tomorrow. Is there any fix coming or I should change my operating system back to win7 (not so good idea lol).

It's just bad cause i bought the link to get full control over my case fans, but all i got was mambo-jambo :)

NB - 1 and 2 are radiator fans of hydro series h110 - http://www.corsair.com/en/hydro-series-h110-280mm-extreme-performance-liquid-cpu-cooler

And they are in group with CPU temp.

ALSO - my video cards are running on SLI, but only one video-card temp and fan speeds are showing up.

My rig info should be available.

Only getting one GPU is a known bug in CL, the other is a ghost. I have 4 and CL only reports one, but I have up to two ghosts.

All the other issues are much the same as Blofeld2k has. I suspect SIV will report your system correctly and if this is so then try what I said above.

I know some problems exist with Windows 7, but I have no real problems with Windows 8.

The only 2 bugs I know are the already mentioned only 1 GPU reported, I have had them separate and crossfired and it never reports the 2nd GPU.

The other bug is that it will not report my 2nd HDD. I have 2 SSDs and 1 Seagate HDD that are reported, but only one of my WD Black drives are reported. I have 2 that are the same part/model number and not in Raid, and I have never seen it in all versions of Link.

I attached a Link System picture, which even shows my memory module fans.

Update:

I got the suggestion from a Corsair rep on a Swedish forum to try ver 5339 of Link.

http://softwaredownloads.corsair.com/Files/Corsair-Link/CorsairLink_Installer_RC_v2.7.5339.zip

Will try that later and see if that does anything. Good news though that the next ver is scheduled for release on Feb 16:
