Khêll
Hey guys, I just built a new PC and it booted and worked just fine for a few days. I didnt overclock anything and just installed Windows 10 and the drivers etc. Today when i wanted to turn the PC on, nothing happened. The PWR LED on my Motherboard was red/orange. After checking all the cables etc. and nothing happened, i took the PSU out and tried the Paperclip Test. the fans and LEDs of my H440 didnt move nor light up. Should i RMA it? Or is there somthing else i could try? Sadly i am kind of the only computer enthusiast i know nearby and can't ask anyone to lend me a psu to try to start my pc. As this is my first Desktop in a long time i don't have one lying around either. Speccs: Intel i5-6600k Asus Sabertooth Z170 Mark 1 MSI GTX 970 Gaming G4 Corsair h100i GTX HyperX 2x8GB DDR 4 Ram 2133 MHZ Corsair AX 860 Thx in advance for your help! Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted November 9, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted November 9, 2015 Do the paper clip with only a fan plugged in. For all you know, there's a short in the H440 and that's what's keeping it from powering on. You'll need to have a fan plugged in because the AX860 PSU fan won't spin with no load.
