jl434
It seems my mp600 1t notably worse than others @ RND4K Q32T16 Write in CrystalDiskMark 7: kitguru I didn't see any performance improve for the 4k write after updated firmware from 11.2 to 11.3 Edited January 17, 2020 by jl434
PeiXi
Hi I like to add my mp600 1TB results too, using CDM7. On fw11.2 still. It seems to match kitguru above
Istipisti
@jl434, @PeiXi, I see your SSD writing speed is good, but few data has been writed. While my SSD is empty, or few data, the writing speed is good too. For me the problem starts when half or more areas are written. jamiee
My 1TB MP600 seems to be doing ok after the 11.3 update - though it's only 8% full. https://forum.corsair.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=37320&stc=1&d=1579307832 Edited January 18, 2020 by jamiee
jl434
@Istipisti, Sequential writes still ok for my mp600 after 50% usage; however, RND4K Q32T16 Write result is still very low when compare with PeiXi, jamiee and kitguru's results. I would also like to know what affects 4K RND write result, and should I request RMA for it?
jamiee
Checked my program & storage drives (2TB MP600's), they seem to be performing similarly to each other. So at least thus far I'm not seeing anything unusual with respect to lackluster write performance on either the 1TB or 2TB drives. beardstheticz
Is anyone else having such inconsistent (compared to other users) write speeds in atto? Especially the 1mb. MP600 1TB EGFM11.3 (27% full) ASUS TUF X570 Ryzen 5 3600 Note: prior to the 11.3 update it was closer to the majority of other benchmarks, and the same can be said for my crystaldiskmark Edited January 20, 2020 by beardstheticz
MickeyCohen
I had a similar case. I resolved it by using msconfig did not load non-microsoft programs AND after Hiding Microsoft Services, I disabled all services. Then it DID NOT SLOW down. I enabled the services in a controlled manner to determine the OLD Western Digital were the problem. I uninstalled all my WD software and installed the latest and the problem was gone. See if you have similar services that cause your problem. ALSO, when connected through my docking station, Read/Write data wate was 424MB/s. When Connected DIRECTLY to my TB3 port on the PC (Which is connecting to the docking station when I use it), the datarate doubled up to about 800MB/s. So make sure you check the speed on the native PC and not via docking, hugs or other. Good luck, Mickey
SJN
Heres my benchmark result. Im guessing that the low writes is probably because its my windows C drive ? This is the 500gb MP600 on my Asus x570 MB and Ryzen 3700X.
billeman
Heres my benchmark result. Im guessing that the low writes is probably because its my windows C drive ? This is the 500gb MP600 on my Asus x570 MB and Ryzen 3700X. The 500GB version (as many other brands) has significant lower write speed, your results seem to be as expected. https://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/9200/corsair-mp600-500gb-nvme-pcie-gen4-2-ssd-review/index.html
SJN
Thanks, then I have nothing to worry about :-) I probably should have read up a little more before buying the smaller version...... But im still very happy with it, as everything works lightning fast anyway in my daily use :-)

SJN
Just another thing, my Asus x570-P has 2 NVME slots. As far as I can see, slot one connects the NVME directly to the CPU, and the second slot connects the NVME to the x570 chipset, and then to the CPU. Anyone tested the performance difference ? harmony
I'm beyond frustrated. none of this makes any sense. I have 2 of these, and one of my drives was slow from almost the beginning. at like 20% full, it was at 1000MB/s. I switched it to secondary/non OS drive, so I could delete it and return it, and I was getting the full speed again. I had done an advance rma, so I returned it anyway. the new one was working fine, but the speed tanked to 1000MB/s again. it's 25% full. my other drive has never had any issues whatsoever. troy.tlb
Yep, done with Corsair at this point, never ever purchasing from their brand ever again. Multiple emails were left with no response, and the price paid for this drive I'd expect at least decent customer support. Absolutely pathetic. Also sad Corsair has left this thread dry while we continue to wallow in confusion.

falcon26
OK I have an Intel system Z390 chipset and a I9 9900K, 32GB system ram and the 1TB MP600. My system is been up for about a month now and just ran the bench mark. Is this score good or is it lower than it should be? Latest firmware on the MP600 also.... https://imgur.com/T8XFeUz

imaginos777
I just installed the latest chipset drivers, no change. Any news from the corsair people on this? This is a really really horrible write speed for a top of the line PCIE 4.0 drive. :sigh!: MP600 1TB Asus prime X570-P 3700X This is my OS drive. madsurfer
Running into the same issue. Big disappointment with this NVME drive :-( Read: 4954MB/s Write: topping at 510MB/s I have tried the latest MSI chipset driver for my MoBo first same result. I tried the AMD x570 chipset driver but the latest version (amd_software_2.03.12.0657) is stuck during setup. I used the previous version (amd_software_2.01.15.2138), but still not luck. It seems right after login into win10 I can get 2200MB/s write and after a while it goes back to 500MB/s. Super annonying. https://imgur.com/yyH08Sh
