Justkiller91
Good Day Corsair forum members, I've come to you for advice on a issue with a PC i built my friend. He decided he would like to have two LL120 fans to add some extra pizzazz. I had a power node core kicking around from my recent build with QL's. To my understanding the LL120's should be able to be controlled via the Node Core. I have the 2 LL120's hooked up to a pwm splitter and plugged into a fan head on his motherboard for power. The 2 LL120's RGB cables are plugged into ports 1 and 2 on the Node Core. The Core is connect to sata for power and a USB header to be controlled in ICUE. The Core shows up in ICUE and is detected. Fan1: Controls work 100% with the inner ring LEDs, but only one outer ring LED will light up, and it always stays "white". Fan2: ALL LEDs light up, but are stuck on "white" only. I have tried a second Node Core that i know is working, but that has not changed the issue. ICUE is up to date, BIOS is most recent version, I even did a manual chipset driver upgrade just in case. Any suggestions on what to try next? I'm leaning towards one the fans not communicating correctly/is a dud.
DevBiker
Sounds like one of the fans is bad. Try swapping them between ports 1 and 2.
