Platinumjsi
Any way to disable them? I see mention online that it can be done within Link but I cant see anything?
Tallfeather
Same question here. I got the memory because of the specs really. The LEDs are kinda cool, but they are really bright and on my system they are on even in sleep mode. I'm guessing this is a "get out the electrical tape" remedy, but it would be nice if there was some internal control possible.
Corsair Employee Corsair CJ Posted November 2, 2017 Corsair Employee Share Posted November 2, 2017 There is no option to disable the LEDs other than shutting off power to the modules themselves. So electrical tape or some other creative/careful mod?
Platinumjsi
Ah that sucks, might remove the lightbars then, I assume that does not void the warrenty?
brighttail
Removing the lighting bars isn't a big thing and in fact you can change the light bars without voiding the warranty, however the bars themselves is just a filter for the LED to pass through. The filters you can buy are blue and red, so removing them is just going to get you a White LED shining REALLY bright through two holes in the top. You can use a little electrical tape to cover the interior of the slots but you'll still get some bleed through on the sides.
