hengis
I have bought a pc and after a short while th AX 1200 failed. Is there a reset button or fuses inside? Any help will be appreciated.
Corsair Employee Corsair Mint Posted November 5, 2018 Corsair Employee Share Posted November 5, 2018 When you mean the AX1200 failed, do you mean that it no longer powers on the system? You can try doing a paperclip test to see if it's the PSU itself that's failed, this will help to determine if it may have been something else in the system that's the issue. hengis
What is the paperclip test?
hengis
I have just read the sticky. I can't easily tell the colours of the wires as they are all covered in individual protective cloth. When I plug in the mains plug the fuse blows in the plug. Is there a reset button inside the psu case?
BlaiseP
What about the "self test" button on the rear of the PSU? (Instead of a paperclip)
Corsair Employee Corsair Mint Posted November 6, 2018 Corsair Employee Share Posted November 6, 2018 If the plug is blowing the fuse on connection, there may be a bigger problem here. The fuse would pop if there was too much power going to it. In regards to the paperclip test, you can just follow the position of the pins itself. Take not of the location of the clip for the 24-pin connector. http://www.houseofhelp.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=2816&d=1193431475
Corsair Employee Corsair Kevin Posted November 8, 2018 Corsair Employee Share Posted November 8, 2018 Were there any components added to the computer just before it failed? More information would be helpful. Thanks!
