Gloppa
Hi, I recently got a corsair vengeance h2100 and I'm having a problem with the drivers. When I plug in the usb my computer fails to install the drivers correctly. I've plugged it into multiple usb ports and I also tried installing the driver from the internet in device manager but it just timed out. My headset also doesn't show up under my playback devices, but my other headset also doesn't so I'm not sure that's a problem. The usb has a steady blue light and the headset slowly blinks blue like it is supposed to.
Toasted
Disconnect the dongle and install the drivers from the install folder. e.g. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Corsair\Corsair Gaming Headset Software\Driver\Package" Once that is done, plug the dongle back in. Does Windows install the driver? If not, is there any specific error code stating the reason why it failed or does it just time out?
Gloppa
None of the files in the driver/package folder can be opened. They all have the windows can't open this file (use web service or select a program to open) thing.
Toasted
You right click the .inf file and click install.
Gloppa
The INF file you selected does not support this method of installation. :/
Toasted
Have you tried installing the drivers via Device Manager instead using the "have disk" button?
Gloppa
Yes, I also got an error "The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems".
Toasted
Is Windows fully updated?
engineereeyore
Having the exact same problem. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I have tried running the driver install program directly from the command line. I have tried all the solutions presented thus far. Running a completely up-to-date Windows 7 installation. Still no luck.
