ostfront
I've bought this memory modules TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF v3.1 as the Corsair Memory Finder recomend them for my MBO. Running@1066mhz 2,1 V, but stock CPU(Q6700) 266 FSB I get poor results with Everest 4.60, lower than my previous PC 6400 memory.:sigh!: TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF benches Read 7262 Write 4866 Copy 5552 latency 72ns my previous PC 6400 RAM Read 6912 Write 5914 Copy 6129 latency 79ns However if I OC my FSB and set multi@7X400FSB Q6700@2.8Ghz than the benches of 8500C5DF are much better: Read 8332 Write 7279 Copy 8040 latency 62.7ns I supposed if this RAM was recomended by Corsair for this MBO for overclockers would perform well in stock settings....I don't want to OC necesarely, not at the moment. I want run this RAM @1066 but stock CPU and FSB, Is the timing I have to change?Any Ideea? Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted March 13, 2010 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 13, 2010 The reason you might have seen different results with 800MHz modules is sometimes the memory dividers are faster then other memory dividers. Changing FSB will also improve scores as you saw.
