bschmall
I have the ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe/Gen3 motherboard in my newly built PC. Right now I am using Corsair 16gb mem kit. I am using Intel Core i7-2700K CPU in the LGA1155 socket. Question is: Can I replace the existing 16gb (4x4gb) of the following memory, cmz16gx3m4a1600c9b with, cmz32gx3m4x1600c10 Thanks. P.S. What I am trying to do here is figure out what Ram module setup I can use to get 32GB of ram on the motherboard. I know nothing about this kind of ram replacement. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted April 30, 2012 Corsair Employee Share Posted April 30, 2012 I am sorry but you would need to get a 32 Gig set this will take up all of the available slots and will not be able to use more than 16 Gig with this set of modules. I would suggest CMZ32GX3M4X1600C10 if you want to have 32 Gig in that system.
bschmall
Thanks for the reply Ram Guy. That is what I wanted to know. Taking out the old 16gb set and installing the new CMZ32GX.... set is OK with me.
