Right now the only solution we offer - and it's a doozy - is to install a second Commander Mini.

And what's more only 1 x CL Mini will work with CL 3.2.5695 .

With CL 3.2.5676 I got 2 x CL Mini to work for the first time and now it's back to one . See http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=795643 and follow the links.

With CL 3.2.5742 I found 4 x CL Mini work OK.

I expect it will be simple enough to make a Y splitter to connect the CL Mini to both or maybe you can daisy chain them. What cables come with the airflow dominator plats?

Its a standard fan plug and then a plug labeled led that goes in to the cl mini or lighting node

Yes, the CL support for > 1 CL Mini is not ideal. I would have gone crazy a while ago had I not written my own software which fully controls my 4 x CLCC and also works around the CLCC firmware bugs.

I suspect you will need to make your own Y connector. I have never seen one but found the image below on-line. Is this the device you heave ?

Am I correct in that if your plug A into B the LEDs just light up and you need to plug A into a CL Mini/Lighting Node to control them?

Assuming so I expect I could solder up a Y connector in 2 minutes as I have 1 x A + 2 x B connectors. It really is quite easy if you have the connectors.

I guess you wish to set the LED colour depending on the platinum dominator temperatures. Does CL 3.2.5695 report them? It does not report my DIMM temperatures, so I suspect not.

I also have two airflow dominator plat. ram fans and a corsair mini. As stated before there is only one led port on the mini. I have purchased 3 y splitters and none of them will fit into the port on the mini. Its too big. They will fit into the led wire from the ram fans fine but the end piece from all three of them will not fit into the port on the mini in the led slot. I do not know how to "make my own". Can anyone please post a link to where I can get a y splitter that will fit into the led port on the mini?? Thank you so much if anyone can.

I suspect these are not available and getting the connectors to make them seems tricky. AFAIK the connectors you need are http://www.molex.com/molex/products/datasheet.jsp?part=active/0050579404_CRIMP_HOUSINGS.xml and http://www.molex.com/molex/products/datasheet.jsp?part=active/0701070003_CRIMP_HOUSINGS.xml. I also suspect you will need to buy the pins.

Having said it was easy I felt I should check, so I just made one. I have a number of LED extension cables that came with my lighting nodes/LEDs so I used two of those .

I simply soldered the wires together and then shrunk the heat shrink for insulation.

in the top photo the connector on the left are you sure that will fit into the led plug in slot on the corsair mini? I have several y splitters but the female end that's the end that plugs into the led port on the mini is two big. If I cut it off and attach that connector that is shown in the first photo on the left it will fit into the slot on the mini?? Also what are the pins you are talking about. I will order that part in the first link. Is that the link to the part on the left that fits into the corsair mini. thank you very much for replying.

also if could answer. I see that the connector only has 4 wires going into it but the connector on the website you sent to to order has 6 holes for wires. how do you know which wire goes into which slot in the connecter?

thanks again.

Yes, I am 100% sure it will fit into a CLCC and below is the Y connector I made when installed. Note that is now has heat shrink covering all the wires.

The links I posted are just for the shells, you also need to get the pins that fit into the shells and maybe a crimp tool. The Molex site has less than ideal images as the words say 4 but the image has 6! It also says "Series image - Reference only" so is just to give the general idea of what the shell looks like.

I expect rather than trying to get the shells and pins it would be far easier if you got a http://www.corsair.com/en-us/corsair-link-rgb-led-lighting-kit and used the two LED extenders from that to make the Y cable which is what I did. If you contact Corsair via https://corsair.secure.force.com/ maybe you could just buy the extenders.

I suspect the Y connectors you have are fan Y connectors so have totally different connectors that look similar the white connectors in the image below.

thanks for the help. will get two of the kits: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/corsair-link-rgb-led-lighting-kit and will either try myself or get electrician to connect them like you did. thank you sir for all your help. corsair has a new kit out that combines both the mini and the lighting node but nobody has them for sale right now.

much appreciated red\

I only have 2.0 usb headers on my rampage 4 black edition. 1 is taken by the rog gaming front panel and the other is taken by the corsair mini. So how does one add a second corsair mini? And.. even if I could add another Corsair mini how in the world would the Corsair link software work with two of them ?? Answer would be greatly appreciated.

thanks ahead of time.

With only two 2.0 usb headers on my rampage 4 black mb. one is taken by the corsair mini and the other taken by the rog gaming control front bay panel. I don't have a header to plug in a second corsair mini. Even if I had a way to connect another Corsair mini. How would the Corsair link software recognize both of them? Since Corsair doesn't sell the lighting node anymore and making a y splitter would not work does corsair have any other way of telling customers how to control two of there ram fans leds? with one corsair mini??

Answers would greatly be appreciated.

thanks ahead of time.

I took the advise and got the led kits and took them to a electrician to splice. I connected to y split to each ram fan and then into the corsair mini and now have full control over color and modes in corsairs link software. Allot of folks said that it would not work. Problem solved.. Thanks

I also have two airflow ram fans and had the same problem. All you need to do is get or have a set of led lighting kits wires: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/corsair-link-rgb-led-lighting-kit

I took them to a electrician to splice two of them into a y splitter. photo of same thing done on another thread i think. And its or should i say they both work fine and are completely controlable with corsair link software.

I made y spliters and my own rgb strips

I used the same type plugs and sockets that are used to connect the front panel (reset, hdd lights and power switch ) very cheap got them from Jaycar Electronics (Australian store)

theres a post here on forum that shows the pin layout so you can make your own Rgb strips

I run about 2mtrs worth of 5050 rgb strips in my x9 case no problem.

trying to source some 5mm rgb leds to convert my sp140 fans to rgb

or corsair could just make them. that'd be great!!!!!
