keerf
Hey All, I got in on a good deal for the ax1600i, so I leaped on it. I'm always keeping an eye on temps, probably worry about them to much, but regardless. I decided to set a custom fan curve for the PSU. At its lowest setting, which seems to be around 900 rpm. The fan is audible, it does somewhat blend in to my case sound, but if I turn off the custom curve the computer is more or less quiet. What I'm curious about is if I should be hearing the fan even at that low of RPM. Also, should I even have a custom curve for this beast of a PSU or just have it run at default instead. Thanks All! Corsair Employee Corsair Notepad Posted January 11, 2019 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 11, 2019 Hi keerf when it comes to fan noise every person is different. But running any fan at 900rpm will produce some amount of noise. I can tell you for sure though that the default fan settings are more than enough to keep that PSU cool.
