davve
Hi! I've used Memtest-86 v3.2 to test my memory becuase World of Warcraft crashed frequently becuse of memory read errors etc. The memtest showed a lot of errors with test 5 (block move, 64moves). I've took out one memory and tested it, 2 errors, switched memorymodule place on my mainbord then 0 (perfect slot). Then i added the other one replacing the one i recently tested and got errors. I've switeched to every slot still errors. Therefor I'm writing this to get help. The BAD from the memtest is "fff3ffff" wich i haven't a clue what it is. The memory wich i bought in a swedish onlinestore http://www.datorbutiken.com said i've should talk to corsair for warrenty. On the stick the following data exist "CMX512-3200C2 XMS3202v1.2 0330235 XMS3200 512MB 400MHz CL2 " My motherbord is a Gigabyte GA-8KNXP with I-P4 cpu. Currently my comp. is running on 512MB but i would really like to get back my 1GB ram. I've got annother problem because i can't try the memory in another comp. because the memory doesn't fit the old one. Happy for response and sorry if bad english. Tst Failing Adress Bad Err-Bits 5 0001e05c68 fff3ffff 00080000 7 0000ab7c6bc cec19a9a -"- with normal v 5 0001a9745a8 fff3ffff -"- 7 0001d35a8b0 ffcfffff errors=42 On port 5with 0.2v 5 0001e05c68 fffbffff 00080000 7 0001f45a2a4 64ca72f7 00200000 Errors=1507 without 0.2v extra 5 0001bec688 fff3ffff 00080000 Errors=54 One question i got now is what is bad = fff3ffff means and err-bitts 00080000 becuase i see this numbers alot on the test. NB that the other memory shows 0 Errors on this ports i used in this test. And the other suggestion u got to change, can't find where to cange em.
