pegotico
Hi I just ordered a kit of CML8GX3M2A2133C11B for my coming ITX build, still haven't decided on the motherboard. so I have a question as I want to test them when they arrived as the other parts will be coming and the problem is I haven't bought the mobo. I just want to be sure that they are ok. My actual mobo supports 1066/1333/1600/1866/2133*(OC) DRAM, 32GB Max 2133 memory says overclocked next to it? I want to know if the motherboard overclocks to be able to use this 2133 kit. ALso my actual cpu supports 1866 ram, would this also overclock my cpu? I would love some explanation here as Im a little lost? thanks again
wytnyt
normally you get a m/b and then build around it as everything depends on this.your cpu will allow a OC of 1866 only according to your description.you can go to corsairs memory finder and find available memory for your m/b hope this helps... I know what im building and im using the 2133, there are 3 options for the motherboard, and they all support the 2133, I just haven't decided which one. I just want to make sure they work as it may take me several weeks to put all the parts together. that's all...... I just cant afford to buy all the parts right away. I wish I could!! So what you are saying is that they will run at 1866 on my actual mobo? I just want to test them!!!

Reply With Quote As long as your CPU is capable of running them at 1866mhz there should be no problem.

pegotico
It's no problem running them slower if you want. I install the ram and enable XMP and the speed was recognized perfectly!! One question should i leave it this way or manually put the speed to 1866 which is the maximum supported by the cpu? Im just leaving the ram for a week or two on this computer.
