Moti
Hi guys... I am new to this forum. An I recently built a new pc and I have been having issues. I bought the new gtx 280, and the drivers keep on crashing, I contacted bfg tech support and they told me it could deal with my memory. When I went into the bios the ram automatically OC'd my proc to 3.0 ghz (q9550). But then i kicked the ram down to 1333 mhz, and my drivers and everything started to work fine. But the timings were not at the rated ones. Also the drivers crash when i start to play games, my mobo goes out of energy saving mode, and kicks up the multipliers and fsb. So i need help getting my settings stable so I can run it at 1600 fsb w/ xmp without the drivers crashing. Should I just return this ram and get some 1333 mhz ddr3? If so can you recommend the model. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted July 21, 2008 Corsair Employee Share Posted July 21, 2008 Please make sure that you have the latest BIOS and test the modules one at a time by loading setup defaults then set the Voltage to 1.8 Volts and Disable legacy USB and enable the XMP profile and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted July 22, 2008 Corsair Employee Share Posted July 22, 2008 Yes use the Voltage that is printed on the modules. 1.9 Volts will be fine.
