Dentist
Hi ramguy, i have two corsair ram modules: - Corsair XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series, Low Latency Model# CMX512RE-3200LL DDR400(PC3200) - Corsair XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series TwinX, Low Latency Model# CMX512-3200LL DDR400(PC3200) They were single installed on two separated pcs. Now I want to install them together on a Gigabyte GA-7VT600 bios F12 (timings 2-3-2-6), but I see that only one module is recognized while the other not (I think that only the one i put in the first slot is). Same thing happens while i exchange their place. memtest86 starts testing only 512Mb. Same thing for windows xp: 512Mb are recognized. Is there a solution to this matter? Thanx in advance Stefano
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted July 7, 2004 Corsair Employee Share Posted July 7, 2004 Sorry, but you cannot mix registered and non registered memory in the same MB! In addition with this MB you would need to use one module for best performance as it is single channel! I would suggest one CMX1024-3200 with this MB!
