jeanius
I'm having some trouble getting my ssd raid performing. I set the stripe size to 128k, set the alignment using diskpart at 128 as well. Did the tweaks as described in the ******** forums, have not set up a RAM disk yet. I'm looking at multiple minute boot times and severe lagging in windows, especially with driver installations. Even after installing the RAID controller drivers, this thing won't speed up. Haven't run any benchmarks yet, but it isn't tough to bench a snail. Any thoughts? jeanius
Just ran HDTune for kicks, I'm seeing ~36mb/s read. That is not good.
jeanius
Update: I flashed the BIOS on the ECS mobo to the latest version, and that fixed everything. Enabled write-back caching, now I'm seeing ~264 mb/s max. Woo! Is this decent for a 2x M64 RAID0, or is write-back caching more of a detriment? I've heard both ways. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted June 5, 2009 Corsair Employee Share Posted June 5, 2009 Just test it both ways see what gives the best results, I would suspect with it enabled will yield the best.
