cfijack
I just built a system using an Asus P4C800-E Deluxe mb and Igb TWINX1024-3200C2 memory. On boot up I receive 2beeps indicating parity error. All bios settings are auto. What do I do next? Is there a memory test I can run?
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted December 26, 2003 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 26, 2003 I'm a little confused, how could you have a memory parity error when you have non-ECC memory?? However, I'd be happy to replace your modules even though I'm pretty sure those beeps mean something else. What would you like to do?
cfijack
I was assumming "parity error" related to memory errors. I was not aware it was ECC related. However I did download and run x86 and found a bad memory chip which New Egg already replaced. All runs well now. The Asus motherboard gives one beep for each connected USB device - I have two. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted December 28, 2003 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 28, 2003 I think the latest bios will disable the USB Beeps!
