jwensley2 Posted March 31, 2013 Share Posted March 31, 2013 I just built a new PC last week, everything in it is brand new and up until today everything was working fine. Today I was playing BF3 when everything suddenly went off and I heard a loud pop. It seems the PSU fried, it has a burnt smell now and the power switch on the back is stuck in the ON position. There could be a million and one reason for a PSU to fail. But there is just no way to tell why. Failures do happen from time to time even with a new components.
