dfcady
Do I have to route my PWM control through my AIO pump? Can I plug in the 4 pin directly to my Commander Pro?
c-attack
Most people are better served by running the fans through the cooler's own fan controller. You can achieve the same thing through iCUE's controls for the Commander Pro, but there is one important difference. The fan controller on the AIO is native to the device. The Commander Pro is not. The software must be running (without an physical work-around) to make the C-Pro read the coolant temp. At boot, restart, or any time you quit the software, you will loose control. Also, in case of some kind of incident while in the BIOS, the AIO controller will do whatever is necessary to protect itself. Besides, there is no inherent control advantage with the Commander vs the cooler. You will still have full control over the fans via the software.
