sancommander
Hi, Got my new RM650i in, and want to test some things for the lighting part of my case (new build). Is it still safe to do the paperclip test-method ? So connect the 24-pin connector and a Fan to the unit, and do the paper-clip trick?
Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted September 3, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 3, 2015 Why would that change and suddenly become "unsafe"? ;):
sancommander
Why would that change and suddenly become "unsafe"? ;): Just wondering to be sure if also this new PSU-line can accept that. It's a old trick i've done before years ago when i've build my current system (with HX750 -> never touched it after that :sunglasse). In the meantime find my old "test-fake" connector for that to connect to the 24p-pin  It works thanks
Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted September 3, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 3, 2015 If it wasn't "still safe", it wouldn't still be a sticky at the top of the forums: http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63991

Currenty building a new system step by step so have to go to all current info/steps/tricks and this one i was not sure of Thanks
