I installed the CORSAIR iCUE v3.33.246 update and it locked up at computer at 72%. On reboot the iCUE software was missing and I was unable to connect to internet and all my drivers started to reinstall. Major issue with this version needs to be pulled ASAP. I try a second time and it did the same

I did not like G935 the hardware is cheap but the software was great and DTX sound, but your right a lot of issue with the headset could try out Windows 10 DTX plugin for 14 days and see it helps. I testing NX Wave 3D sound which use a web cam for head tracking. I swaping my headset for a replacement to see if its a hardware issue. If the software had a monitor that would show if you had a issue with the wireless.

I get 20 hours. I send back for replacement

I send my headset back to for a replacement. I lot of issue with the head set. If this dont fix it and will ask for refund.

I had the Virtuosos SE headset for about 4 weeks and use it about 8 to 14 hours day I am working from home. Design is great what like to see in 2020 it does not look like a gaming headset it looks like a high headset. Its light and very conformable I wear glasses all the time and have no issues at all. Less is more design which I like a lot. Battery life is around 18 hours with RGB off. Audio quality is great in Stereo has is the only wireless headset that I know can do 24bit sound over wireless and the EQ works well but bass is weak. I find the 7.1 sound has issue with centre channel volume being too high cause clipping. The reconnection time is best I seen on any headset Software is where it falls down over the last weeks had a lot of issue with sound with the usb flashing red and light going off and sound issues cause by software. Overall: The headset is great and feel good and look good. But let down by software issues. I was using a G935 and found it the feel cheap and to big and did not fit on head very well would fall off. Battery life was poor, and connection was very slow which was a pain when I was getting incoming calls. Audio quality was good in game but in music and movies was poor and EQ did work very well. Issue 1. I have had was crackling sound and high and low volume but was fixed after updating ICUE v3.29.110 I did find a workaround before was to by pass ICUE software. Issue 2. When using the dolby 7.1 the centre channel is always to loud which cause clipping in games and in movies which have 5.1 and 7.1 sound which major disappointment, I have test DTX and dolby atmos which don’t have this issue. Also when comparing with G935 headset the centre was at the right level. If would nice if the channels for 7.1 could be control in ICUE software like in the Logitech software. I do hope the second issue is fixed soon.

Update: Did some more testing I found only get the audio crackle / clipping issue when set to 8 channels in wireless. In wired mode has no issue. Also just install iCUE v3.29.110 and it has fixed the issue for me. I made some sound files will which allow me to replicate the issue and the sound files no longer have the clipping / audio crackle. Also if you use any of the windows 10 DTX: Headphone:X or dolby atmos sound plugs you be limited to 16 bit sound.

I work in IT as noc engineer and you are spot on, This cause by Dolby surround processing on the iCUE software, I try a number of versions and all do the same thing low and high volume, Random sound cuts, Distorted sound, audio crackle. Some games doing it more then others and radio steam as well. . If you switch to Windows's Spatial sound it will fixed the issue. Some people report no issue in wired mode this may be due to Dolby surround processing and the sound compression over wireless. I am still running the iCUE software with DTX: Headphone:X and Equalizer APO, I dont know if I will stick with DTX but on 14 day trial. Also I running the latest version of iCUE and the USB flashing red then turns off but does not impact sound quality. Quit iCUE and the light comes back on. Corsair should to move DTX or dolby atmos, I dont think this issue is fixed able with the current dolby version. .
