Shadow aok
Hello, I don't understand how the Corsair Link 4 application measures the fan rpm. I have a Gigabyte x570 I AORUS Pro wifi (mini itx) motherboard, with 3 fan headers, in a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ITX case : - cpu fan header, used to plug the h80i v2 - fan header #1, used to plug the fan on the back of the case (Noctua NF-A14 PWM) - fan header #2, used by the default chipset fan The default case front fan (240mm) is plugged into a molex connector through a potentiometer, so its speed is fixed. The H80i v2 headers are used with 2 Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM in push-pull mode (same issue if i use the corsair stock fans). Link always see the cpu fans at 0 rpm, whatever profile i use (quiet by default). If i unplug and plug them back, it displays a speed for a mere second then goes back to 0 rpm. Here's the other strange thing : - when putting only the cpu fan to full speed in the bios (voltage control), Link sees 2 fans on my MB (bios_cpu_fan_full_other_silent.png). In that case, chipset fan is off, chipset isn't hot enough. - when putting all fans to full speed (voltage control) in the bios, it sees 3 fans (bios_all_fan_full.png). In that case, chipset fan is running at a little more than 5k rpm (in the bios). All the capture were taken on idle. I don't know where it finds this third fan since it can't see the front fan. It doesn't see the gpu fan either. Otherwise, all my fans are running (except the chipset fan when i let the motherboard controlling it). The CPU is a Ryzen 7 3700X and i used Noctua NT-H2 thermal paste. Edited December 29, 2019 by Shadow aok
c-attack
First, the Link program was ended about 18 months ago. I am not sure how it will react your new x570 board. Historically, there Link and iCUE don't do the best job reading motherboard specific data. The H80i v2 draws its power through that motherboard header. It needs to be at 100% at all times or you are starving the pump. You can change the pump speed in Link as well as any fans connected to it. For that specific cooler and all other GT/GTX/v2 coolers, the BIOS will see 1/2 the pump speed. It will not see the two fans on the pump's fan controller. Those should be easy to see in the cooler panel in Link. In both your screen shots, the H80i v2 pump speed is drastically too low. Link should accurately display pump speed, but your are nowhere near the normal 1800-1900 for the Quiet setting. Make sure the header powering the cooler is either disabled or set to 100% another way.
Shadow aok
I'm sure i set the cpu header at 100% in the bios. I'll try with iCue.
Shadow aok
Same issue with iCue, i'm still missing gpu and cpu fans speed. When i'm in the bios, the pump is between 1400 and 1500 rpm. It only quiets down post-logon. If i set the pump to extreme mode, it goes up to 1980 rpm, so the pump speed doesn't seem to be an issue.
Shadow aok
I fixed one issue, i now have the pump fan rpm on iCue. I totally forgot that i installed the gigabyte smart fan application, which runs as a service. I still need to identify the second fan icue display for the motherboard and to get the graphic card fan speed but this is minor.
c-attack
For the GPU, try deleting it from the dashboard, then re-check the GPU option from the drop down box at the top. That will re-create in the dashboard.
Shadow aok
No change but it's no big deal, i can consider my issue as fixed, thanks.
