peterk426
Today I woke up and noticed all 4 of my corsair LL Fans are lighting up and spinning, then all of a sudden they will come to a complete stop, then spin for 30 seconds, and do the same thing about. I have ML 140 fans at the top and they are not doing this. I have erased settings and tried to start a new profile in icue. same thing. Anyone have any tips? c-attack
What is the controlling device for the LL and ML? Are they all on a Commander Pro 1-6? Are some on an AIO controller?
peterk426
I am not using the commander node pro. I have 4 fans going to 1 hub then out into a lightning node pro. The lightning node pro 1 port is the strips and the other is the 4 LL fans
c-attack
If you don't have any Corsair controller (Commander Pro or AIO controller), then your motherboard is doing the speed control. The Lighting Node Pro and RGB Hub are for lighting power. The separate 4 pin cable back to the motherboard headers controls/reports speed. It's unusual to see a MB use any kind of zero speed setting natively, but I don't know what board/brand you have. It's also possible some type of ERP or energy saving feature could do this. peterk426
You're right! My Asus motherboard is doing some funky stuff with my LL fans. I opened AI Suite 3 and ran Fan xper4. Seemed to fix the problem. Thank you!
c-attack
Watch out for Asus power saving tools in AI Suite or the BIOS. They are extremely powerful and will override other user defined settings. This is sometimes disguised as "Optimized", but unfortunately the terms used don't always mean the same thing.
