robert3892
Just got a 780T and transferred my system from the 600T into it. I have an X79 Dark EVGA motherboard with two 8 pin EPS connectors at the top. The problem is that the AX1200 EPS cables won't reach (not long enough) if I attempt to rout the cables around the back so they look better and they are hidden. I had to run them from inside the case and it looks terrible. Corsair doesn't sell EPS extension cables so is it OK to use a third party EPS extension cable from a third party or is there another solution? I am using the optional white cable set bought from the website. (a.k.a. rjohnson11, EVGA volunteer forum moderator)
Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted October 28, 2014 Corsair Employee Share Posted October 28, 2014 8-pin to 8-pin on the motherboard side is going to be standard no matter who makes the cable. The only part of a modular cable that's not a standardized pinout is where it plugs into the PSU itself. So you can use any brand 8-pin EPS12V extension cable as a solution. robert3892
Thanks. Wanted to make sure Corsair didn't have an issue with it as far as warranty is concerned
