  1. Hung, I am sorry that the steps above that helped me did not solve your issue. Since you have had your system since May and only started seeing this issue makes me wonder if your video card is possible loose or you have video card sag which could be making for a loose connection hence the shutdowns. Have you checked to make sure your video card is securely pushed into place. R3dbaron had a similar issue that supporting his video card seemed to fix it for him.
  2. So glad you got your issue solved, I know how frustrating it is! You would at least think @Corsair would see this thread and throw some swag my way for helping solve several peoples problems!
  3. I still have had no crashes/blackscreens so it appears to be fixed. I have not rolled back my underclock/undervoltage settings with MSI afterburner because I am getting good frames with lower card temps and power draw. If I decide to reset my card to factory clocks, I will update this thread.
  4. I guess that explains why it worked for several months with no issue if it slowly sagged creating connection issues. I sure hope it did it for good. Could you post the link to what you bought in case others may need one? Thanks
  5. Sorry to hear, I hope the RMA goes better. After the 30 day window do you just have to pay a restocking fee or how will that work. I would hope they would waive it for you after your ordeal.
  6. Found this on Gigabytes site: GIGABYTE's graphics cards have different BIOS versions for one model. For example, VGA BIOS version F1 to F9 will be one series and BIOS version F10 to F19 will be the other series. So in theory, if your VGA card's current BIOS version is F3, and you see version F4/F10 available on the website, your VGA card will need to be updated to F4 and not F10. Also from reddit: Spent more time than I'd like in figuring this out today, hopefully this may help some folks avoid the various issues that can slow things down. Mostly caused by lacking info on the Gigabyte support pages. The poor quality info there makes it hard to know which version of BIOS to download for your card and it also incorrectly inform the user to install the '@BIOS' program. First, it helps to know which version of VBIOS your GPU is running. Open GPU-Z, go to 'advanced' tab and click the down arrow and select 'NVIDIA BIOS'. It will say something like "GV-N3070GAMING OC-8GD_L/F20/0BA1" In this case the current BIOS version is F20. Then you need to setup your motherboard to enable resizable BAR. Google can help with this. Should just require a few setting to be changed in BIOS. Next, go to the support page for your gigabyte GPU and find the VBIOS section. For the RTX 3070 Gigabyte Gaming 8GB OC it lists three different BIOS' - this is where the BIOS version from GPU-Z advanced tab comes in handy as it is in the same format as the support page. Both the general tab in GPU-Z and the NVIDIA control panel only give the VBIOS version as XX.XX.XX.XX.XX format and it doesn’t help here. Download the BIOS and extract files. Per the footnotes on the GPU support page, I downloaded version F21. After extraction there were two different folders - N3070GOA.F21 and N3070GOL.F21. Both folders have a similar set of files including an exe file that runs the BIOS update process. So I made a guess as to which one I needed to run. The folder with GOL has a modified date of 31/03/2021 and the one with GOA is dated 25/03/2021. Seeing as the rollout of resizable BAR occurred on 30/03/2021 I went with GOL. Maybe this was just a lucky guess and someone more knowledgeable can comment? These are for the dual bios - one is for silent and the other for OC mode, these are selectable by a physical switch on the lower side of the GPU. On my card it was a small black plastic slider switch. Thanks to various users for pointing this out. After the program runs, reboot and check GPU-Z again - if you've set up your motherboard BIOS and run the correct VBIOS install file, resizable BAR should now show as enabled. The 'Graphics Card' tab has a section for Resizable BAR in the lower right section.
  7. you can use GPU-Z to find out the correct version. https://www.techpowerup.com/download/gpu-z/ You will need to open the 'Advanced' tab and right below the tabs you find a dropdown menu. Set that from 'General' to 'NVIDIA BIOS' and look under Message for a string, similar to this one: Message GV-N3080EAGLE-10GD/F20/0B4B The main info you are looking for is the F# like F20 in the above example Then once you know you have F20 or F30 etc. You will know from Gigabytes download site which is the correct BIOS for that F#. I hope this helps. So in a nutshell you have to know which F# BIOS you have in order to pick which update to download and install. ALso Video Card BIOS updates are much easier and quicker than motherboard BIOS updates.
  8. This is what all I have done. So far again, I have had no more crashes since updating motherboard and Graphics card BIOS. I have played with iCue running for several days in a row with no issues, so I routinely start iCue on startup now. I hope you get your PC running, I know firsthand how aggravating those black screen crashes are.
  9. Please update us on if the BIOS update helped. Also make sure to check if there is a vBIOS update for your video card as well. I ha dto update both to enable the Resizeable Bar on my Gigabyte 3080.
  10. I am also very surprised at the lack of Corsair engagement on this forum. It is like they look every few weeks. If I were u, I would be bombarding Corsairs Twitter, and any other social media accounts with your issue. Also I would email every Corsair support or Vengeance Support I could find. You shouldn't have to beat the doors down to get help but sadly you are having to do exactly that. Lastly if you charged your PC to a credit card you could look into doing a charge back if it's not too late. Hate that the BIOS and vBIOS update didn't solve the issue.
  11. I wonder what in the world could be the delay. It is not like packing materials are in short supply. When I returned my first Vengeance they had me ship to Florida which I believe is the Origin PC repair headquarters. I can't believe they haven't sent you the packing materials. What was the free thing they said they were going to send you or has that not been sent either?
  12. Last night I started up iCue and played Ark Survival for a few hours with no issues. so far so good.... So for now, I will continue to leave iCue running and if success continues for a few more days I will roll back my Video Card changes.
  13. I will give it a try and when I do I'll report back what happens. I plan on slowly undoing those things and reporting here. This is my plan 1) Keep iCue running while gaming, if no issues then 2) Return Video Card to Normal Settings (Move Core Clock back +300 Mhz and return Voltage to normal fan curve) It may be a few days before I can report back.
  14. Just wanted to update the driver I am still using without issues is 466.27 so far no more shutdowns. It has been quiet on here past day or so, I hope that means good news for some of you that maybe y'alls issues are fixed as well.
