  1. Also, no on the other software. On the test installs all I've done is clean installs of windows and the chipset drivers from ASUS. All runs completely fine. Then I install iCUE as the only program, and the second it loads I get the USB disconnect sound. I don't understand why this has started after working fine for years. It's very strange and frustrating 😕
  2. I was originally, but no, I do not have Armoury Crate installed. Uninstalled on my main boot drive, and never installed on the test drives. (mobo is ASUS X299 Deluxe II btw)
  3. Oh also, iCUE only does it the first time, if I close and reload iCUE after the system is already in use then it doesn't happen. So, it's something to do with what iCUE does when it first loads, initializing things in device manager or whatever it does.
  4. svukelich, thanks a lot for the suggestions. I have tried most of this already. 1. Have tried zero USB devices connected, including internal headers, except a basic mouse and keyboard to login. As soon as iCUE starts the disconnect sound occurs. I've tried many drivers and versions of Windows including older versions of 10. 2. This one doesn't change anything since it happens with zero USB devices, it's when the iCUE software loads even if there's zero Corsair, or any other devices attached. 3. The devices work fine on 2 other test systems (Commander Pro, K95 Platinum RGB) so they should be okay. I have also tried many versions of iCUE and fresh 10 and 11 installs, and it does it regardless of if those devices are connected or not. It is just when the iCUE software loads on my X299 system. If there's no iCUE, there's no sound, as soon as I load it, it happens. 4. I think the disks are fine, I have tried 2 NVMe drives and 2 different 2.5" SATA SSDs with both Windows 10 and 11 during my testing. 5. I could try that, thanks, I think the memory is good but who knows. Motherboard is also a potential one I guess though I've not had any issues with it beyond this issue so I would be surprised.
  5. Anything else I can try? Are there any BIOS settings that may help? Something I can try in Windows? Also, forgot to mention I tried the USB power management in device manager and selective suspend in power options... made no difference either.
  6. Forget the X58 system I got that to work. Anyway, the X299 system is still doing it regardless of iCUE version, I even went as far back as version 3, and a ton of different versions of 4, I even tried a clean install of Windows 10 and 11 on a spare drive and it still does it now. Also, if I unplug the Commander Pro so there is ZERO corsair hardware attached to my computer as soon as the iCUE SOFTWARE loads i STILL get the disconnect sound. I looked into the firmware for the Commander Pro and apparently that's not changed for ages so I'm not even gonna mess with that, though since it makes the sound regardless of it being plugged in just as soon as the iCUE software loads I doubt that's even a problem.... this is infuriating, why has it started doing this?!
  7. Hello, I have 2 computers with a Commander Pro each. One is an ancient X58 motherboard running Windows 10, the other is a newer X299 motherboard running Windows 11. Recently both of them have started making a USB disconnect sound when iCUE loads at boot. They're both on the latest firmware for the Commander Pro and the latest version of iCUE. They never used to do this so the only change I can think is an iCUE update I must have done recently when nagged by the software. I'm not exactly sure what's started causing the issue, but it's curious two completely different systems are having the exact same issue so I'm just guessing it's probably a firmware update or iCUE update. Is this a known issue that's cropped up again besides the AMD pinned thread? Is it worth me trying older commander firmware and iCUE versions or will I be wasting my time? Thanks
