Found out that, if you have LGA 1200 or LGA 115x retention bracket, then buying the LGA 1700 Retrofit kit makes the brackets usable for LGA 1700 motherboards. But if you don't have one of the brackets, then you'll need to buy the Elite series retention kit (sorry for the late reply).

Hey, I have a quick question. So, I'm planning on building my first PC and I want to use the iCue H115i Elite Capellix with a LGA 1700 motherboard (H670). Now, because the cooler doesn't support LGA 1700 sockets, I need to buy a kit for it. But there are 2 options. 1st is the LGA 1700 Retrofit kit and the 2nd is the ELITE Series Retention Kit. Now, the question is: does the iCue H115i Elite Capellix include the backplate for the motherboard and, if it doesn't, will I need buy the retention kit?
