  1. I can't find information online about where in the motherboard each of the 5 temperature sensors are located (Temp #1 through #5). Any idea? Also, for completeness sake it'd be nice to know the same for the three sensors in the RTX 3080 are (MSI in my case). Thanks!
  2. And to add another bit of information if someone stumbles across this, Bitlocker will work just fine on it if you update to a Windows 11 Pro license, it seems that Modern Standby is a requirement just for the cutdown version included in Windows 10 Home edition (as Device Encryption) for some reason.
  3. As an update to my own issue, it seems to have gone away after a second CMOS clear that I did while I was recording just for the sake of showing the symptoms to a tech when Corsair finally decides to pick up my ticket. This second time I just cleared the CMOS, I didn't bother re-seating the RAM which I did in my 1st attempt as some people reported that helping with similar issues.
  4. To answer my own last question: Turns out Bitlocker can be used with Windows 10/11 Home even when Device Encryption (which is supposed to be the non-Pro mechanism to encrypt the boot drive) isn't available due to lack of Modern Standby. There's no UI for the setup in the Home edition, but the official "manage-bde" utility can be used to kick-off the encryption process from the recovery troubleshooting command-line as described here. I didn't try to use this approach for anything other than the boot drive yet so not sure if that would work at all and that functionality may be locked out since it's not expected to be available for the Home edition. While this workaround is something, it still shouldn't be necessary in a modern PC, so I'd still appreciate some confirmation about whether or not the requirements for the Windows 11 Home Device Encryption feature are expected to be met by the Vengeance i7300 PC, and if not whether there's any chance of that changing with a BIOS/firmware/software update.
  5. I'm trying to turn on Device Encryption in Windows 11 Home (essentially the cut-down version of Bitlocker that only works on the boot drive), but I'm unable to, as the option doesn't appear in the expected place in the Settings app. After researching a bit, I checked with "System Information" that for "PCR7 Configuration" I'm getting "Binding Not Possible". In turn, it appears that one of the reasons for that would be lack of support for Modern Standby (aka Sleep state "Standby (S0 Low Power Idle)"); I checked with "powercfg -a" that that is indeed the case, and I didn't find any option in the BIOS to enable it. I also confirmed that the other two preconditions for "PCR7" are correctly enabled so they aren't the source of this issue: Secure Boot is enabled and TPM is enabled and shows up in ready state in "tpm.msc". Did someone manage to turn this feature on a similar system? Or can someone from Corsair or someone with a reference confirm that it's not supported? Can support be enabled with a BIOS update or through a setting that I missed? And since I don't want to throw away $100, does anyone know if Bitlocker would have the same requirements, or would it work without support for Modern Standby?
  6. I noticed that Corsair's latest BIOS available for the i7300 (DDR5) is from Apr 25 2022, but MSI has since updated their version of the BIOS twice here. Interestingly the last one includes "Fine-tuned memory compatibility" which may be related to what some people are experiencing given the symptoms. Can we flash our BIOS with MSI versions, or are they incompatible? Or must we wait for Corsair to update their version with these fixes?
  7. I'm having the same issue. About to file a ticket for support/RMA if there's no solution. Worked fine on 1st boot, setup Windows, got all updates, updated iCue. Now also have to re-seat RAM and clear CMOS to get it to boot. In my case it then proceeds to light up the Ez Debug CPU light and be stuck there with no video out or even power to USB keyboard.
