TBF.. your post history gives you away on your true intentions here. sorry.. but factful.

    but here is my experience.

4 of these running in rigs in my house. zero issues i couldnt sort.. have also installed many of them for others. again. zero issues. i have a discord server with over 1600 members. we have helped  users that did haves issues. most of them was down to hw conflicts or connectors not fully seated.. one or two have had to RMA. but that is one or two out of hundreds we have dealt with.

remember. the people that do have issues that come here for help do not in anyway represent the true number of units sold. the happy people are too busy being happy to come here to sing songs of praise, its a one sided picture.

i do feel for the people that have had issues that havnt made progress. but i will list below what we have seen work

not all motherboards (mostly AMD) are happy using the USB splitter. it causes the LCD to disconnect somehow.
use of another usb header or the NZXT internal usb hub helps

making sure the main connector is fully seated.

    never hot swap cables.. ever.

    hope peeps get sorted,

NOTE.. I do not work for Corsair. i was not paid to say this. just a factful credible post..

    Nice to be nice eh

agree with you, i had to use the nzxt to get mine to work, but that was not the only fix, the long connector wasnt seated into the commander properly, which i found quite quickly, it took a while to figure out each of the issues, but i got there with it eventually, i did have to rma one of mine but that was due to me removing the screen from the pump while it was still on, so that was my fault, just happy corsair replaced it for me.

I had one of the first upgraede kits in the UK having bought mine at the end of last year, it took me until about march to get it working, but now that i have it hasnt missed a beat,

Do you see that this thread is now 23 pages long, and was started on March 1st? It is also not the original thread or the only thread about this. These problems have been going on since this product was released and Corsair has still not fixed it. Last I heard, Corsair was going to release a major update sometime in June - not sure if that means iCue, firmware, or both. This LCD display AIO cooler has basically been a total disaster. I can't imagine how Corsair ever decided this product was ready for release.

check that one that i posted on before this one was opened, back in November last year, very old issue that has been around now for more than 8 months......

Day 30 of the pump head not reporting to iCue. I have replaced the whole h150i system with no positive results. I have removed the software with no positive results. I have contacted support (#2005309378) with no positive results. The next step will be to go Steve from Gamer's Nexus and have Tech Jesus investigate this iCue-gate scandal

i did already email him, so far no response, emailed him about a month ago.  the more people that do send him an email though the more chance he will have to see it and investigate.

I had my RMA arrive, installed, and the lcd is not red triangling.  So it looks like the one I bought was faulty.  The faulty one had an unusual LGA1700 backplate.  It was big and square.  The new one has that universal X shaped one.  Dunno if that means anything.

I had looked around to know what to expect to edit the screen, since none of the documentation provides any insight, and found

Where Screen Setup and Hardware Screen SHOULD appear in the lcd's details.  However mine is not there.  I do have armoury crate and have disabled it  from startup.  Going to check if that fixes.  It did not.

just wnat to check that you have both the latest version of icue and the latest version of the commander and screen firmware, if it was an upgrade kit sometimes you need to upgrade the AIO before you install the LCD then upgrade the LCD once its installed, other times you can just do it after installing the LCD.

I see the issue is that I don't even have the option to update the LCD firmware, so I'm not really sure how to troubleshoot this any further. Pretty sure it is a iCUE issue given that when I close it, the LCD plays the gif I set for the hardware screen. Any help would be appreciated.

have you tried (after shutting down the computer) removing the long connecter from the top of the commander then making sure it is pushed the whole way in, push pretty hard on each corner?

Have you tried a different USB port on your motherboard?

If you have ever removed the screen from the pump or the long connecter from the commander while it has been powered on then you may have fried something, the LCD screen is very sensitive to voltage spikes, which happen when you remove and plug in back in while the PC is powered on.

I know this because it happened to me, they are looking to make changes to the PCB to address this weakness, if you have done this then you may need to RMA the device.

Is there any actual fix for this? I've tried literally everything suggested, everything.

Plugged directly into the port, removed the cap, removed the files and from the registry, reinstalled 100 times.

Dunno wth to do... Just bought it a few days ago... Cools good but screen isn't working.

Am on a Formula XI Mobo.

have you tried the TWO firmware updates

Putting my name in the ring now for this same issue of either not seeing Screen Setup or Hardware Screen or the red triangle. It seems like it may work for a short time after doing a full cycle (turning the PC off, PSU off, ensuring all power is drained from the system, then booting up), but always goes back to freezing on Liquid Temp or the red triangle. Sometimes it may go straight to the frozen Liquid Temp screen after booting, for example it did today after being turned off overnight.

This is happening with an H115i Elite Capellix w/ LCD screen upgrade on an Asus Z690 mobo that is not using a USB splitter, everything is plugged directly into the mobo.

    iCUE: v4.22.203

    H115i Elite Capellix (firmware): v2.6.201

H115i Elite Capellix (LCD screen firmware): v1.1.6.7

have you not tried installing the new firmware yet, there is a new version (v1.1.7.7)

you can download it here https://www.dropbox.com/s/q68mbz2x8n74q54/FW_V1.1.7.7.zip?dl=0

@Daniel_VIEUnfortunately I have not. Just got my email back from the support team asking specifically what I have done to attempt to fix this issue. Super frustrating to have to try to type everything out, but at least it's something. They also asked if I updated my bios. First two questions that I have received from them so we'll see where this leads to. I'll post back here when I get an official answer on what they want me to do.

just send this URL to them and tell them you have tried everything in it.

this is what happens when I try the above instructions

    Capture22.PNG

you are updating it in the wrong place, you need to do it in the device settings for the LCD itself, you will see there are two firmwares when you go there, the one you need to do is obvious.

For those who have flickering issues with the screen after the firmware update completely shut the system down, turn the power supply off or unplug it from teh wall for about 30sec, plug the PSU back in or turn it back on, and reboot the system. See if that resolves the issues.

did the update get pulled, i cannot see it in icue

Id just like the option of at least cross shipping a RMA. I mean EVGA does it for $2k GPU's why Corsair cant offer this for a $300 AIO?

when I RMAd mine, i was able to pay a holding fee for a new one, which was refunded when i returned the broken one, not ideal but it worked

I upgraded to the new version, but my usb dongle is not working. Is there any solution to this? It happened since the update and my CORSAIR VIRTUOSO no longer works wirelessly.

    Any answer?

i had this problem a few releases ago and contacted support, for some reason my dongle was bricked completely so it was replaced

So you've never, ever, ever had a bug slip out that was completely missed? Or misidentified? In 30 years of testing, never?

I highly, highly, highly doubt that. That really stretches believability. Even Microsoft, who probably has the most thorough testing regime in the industry, has missed major bugs. And I can guarantee that it wasn't because of budget cuts (they have a 1:1 test/dev ratio).

It's a bug. It happens. They are working in fixing it and getting it out. Or do you want them to shortcut QA to get a half-baked fix into your hands? Then you can REALLY be their beta testers.

i didnt say that bugs dont slip, pretty defensive are you not.  i suggest you go re-read my message

  15. 9 hours ago, DevBiker said:

Sometimes bugs are found but you don't realize that they are bugs, they are dismissed as something else, or no one realizes the impact. I've been doing software dev for going on 30 years now; it happens. It's not a perfect world and if that's what you are expecting, you are in for a whole lifetime of disappointments.

as a professional tester for over 30 years, i find that when this many bugs leak into production its usually down to the execs making decisions they know nothing about, like cutting the budget of the QA team, or the dev work taking much longer than expected, the launch date not changing then QA expected to still complete in a much shorter timeframe.  Its time that the execs woke up and realised that QA is an important part of the process and if they dont want to listen to the experts then they will never have quality products.

The only other reason i have found for this level of bad quality is if they hire a crap QA lead / manager and they fail to properly plan the QA activites.

    Thanks for you reply.

is it normal not to receive a confirmation of receipt? (otherwise I will open a ticket again )

cant 100% remember how quickly the confirmation comes through, i believe it should be straight away, so it you dont have one by now then i would raise one again just to be sure it submitted successfully

    hello all,

since yesterday i have a big problem with my lcd upgrade kit.
I bought an upgrade kit directly from corsair in december 2021 and installed it.

it ran until yesterday without problems and looked good!
when I was working on the pc yesterday and looked inside my case, I suddenly saw that the lcd display has an error/crash.

I assume that it is a hardware defect and has nothing to do with the software, it happened during operation, the pc is always in the same place and was not moved.

How can something like this happen?
Does anyone have the same problem?

I opened an RMA ticket via the website yesterday but have not received any confirmation or anything.

    Maybe someone can help me.
I disassembled everything again today, checked all cables and connections, and reinstalled the ICUE softwäre, but unfortunately I get the same result.

not seen this specific issue, however there are multiple fixes coming in the next few weeks, the latest iCue has already been release, which fixes some issues, the next to come in i think is a firmware update for the LCD which should fix most issues, there are other fixes to come after the firmware which will fix other issues.

Corsair support can take a few days to respond due to how busy they are, if they dont respond in a couple of days then your ticket obviously wasnt created at their end so suggest you email them again.,

I don't think that last update 4.21.173 fixed this issue yet, but you can run the LCD with external USB that will solve the issue for now.

did you read their comments, the release was not meant to fix that issue, that will come in a firmware update later this month hopefully

    Hey all,

I’m getting the same exclamation mark and I didn’t even do anything, just randomly happened.

I’ve reinstalled the software, did deep clean registry removal and still getting it.

    Help?

none of us done anything to cause it, its a (series of) bugs that corsair are working through, see the link in the post above from them for more details.

Hey everyone, wanted to keep you guys informed on updates for this issue and a couple others we are currently working on.  I've been working with our various cooling and development teams and we've put together the following thread with some information that should provide some clarity on your concerns:

thank you corsair, this is what we need, good clear communication in what you are doing to rectify the problems.  We do not expect perfection from tech companies, and we are well aware that sometimes issue can and do occur, what makes us consumers decide to stick with a brand or not is how they react to and rectify these issues.

Well done, at last, for this communication.  thank you again
