  1. agree with you, i had to use the nzxt to get mine to work, but that was not the only fix, the long connector wasnt seated into the commander properly, which i found quite quickly, it took a while to figure out each of the issues, but i got there with it eventually, i did have to rma one of mine but that was due to me removing the screen from the pump while it was still on, so that was my fault, just happy corsair replaced it for me. I had one of the first upgraede kits in the UK having bought mine at the end of last year, it took me until about march to get it working, but now that i have it hasnt missed a beat,
  2. me too, been testing since the early 90s, i offered help too months ago but was told that they have their own internal QA team, i had to do everything not to laugh 🙂
  3. check that one that i posted on before this one was opened, back in November last year, very old issue that has been around now for more than 8 months......
  4. i did already email him, so far no response, emailed him about a month ago. the more people that do send him an email though the more chance he will have to see it and investigate.
  5. just wnat to check that you have both the latest version of icue and the latest version of the commander and screen firmware, if it was an upgrade kit sometimes you need to upgrade the AIO before you install the LCD then upgrade the LCD once its installed, other times you can just do it after installing the LCD.
  6. have you tried (after shutting down the computer) removing the long connecter from the top of the commander then making sure it is pushed the whole way in, push pretty hard on each corner? Have you tried a different USB port on your motherboard? If you have ever removed the screen from the pump or the long connecter from the commander while it has been powered on then you may have fried something, the LCD screen is very sensitive to voltage spikes, which happen when you remove and plug in back in while the PC is powered on. I know this because it happened to me, they are looking to make changes to the PCB to address this weakness, if you have done this then you may need to RMA the device.
  7. there has now been an elite capelix firmware update that you can install in the usual way, appears this has fixed some issues for people, worth trying that update?
  8. have you not tried installing the new firmware yet, there is a new version (v1.1.7.7) you can download it here https://www.dropbox.com/s/q68mbz2x8n74q54/FW_V1.1.7.7.zip?dl=0 this was posted by corsair on this post https://forum.corsair.com/forums/topic/176547-elite-lcd-megathread/?do=findComment&comment=1017690
  9. just send this URL to them and tell them you have tried everything in it.
  10. you are updating it in the wrong place, you need to do it in the device settings for the LCD itself, you will see there are two firmwares when you go there, the one you need to do is obvious.
  11. when I RMAd mine, i was able to pay a holding fee for a new one, which was refunded when i returned the broken one, not ideal but it worked
  12. i had this problem a few releases ago and contacted support, for some reason my dongle was bricked completely so it was replaced
  13. i didnt say that bugs dont slip, pretty defensive are you not. i suggest you go re-read my message
  14. as a professional tester for over 30 years, i find that when this many bugs leak into production its usually down to the execs making decisions they know nothing about, like cutting the budget of the QA team, or the dev work taking much longer than expected, the launch date not changing then QA expected to still complete in a much shorter timeframe. Its time that the execs woke up and realised that QA is an important part of the process and if they dont want to listen to the experts then they will never have quality products. The only other reason i have found for this level of bad quality is if they hire a crap QA lead / manager and they fail to properly plan the QA activites.
  15. 27th at exactly 14:21 and 3 seconds (GMT)
  16. cant 100% remember how quickly the confirmation comes through, i believe it should be straight away, so it you dont have one by now then i would raise one again just to be sure it submitted successfully
  17. not seen this specific issue, however there are multiple fixes coming in the next few weeks, the latest iCue has already been release, which fixes some issues, the next to come in i think is a firmware update for the LCD which should fix most issues, there are other fixes to come after the firmware which will fix other issues. Corsair support can take a few days to respond due to how busy they are, if they dont respond in a couple of days then your ticket obviously wasnt created at their end so suggest you email them again.,
  18. did you read their comments, the release was not meant to fix that issue, that will come in a firmware update later this month hopefully
  19. none of us done anything to cause it, its a (series of) bugs that corsair are working through, see the link in the post above from them for more details.
  20. thank you corsair, this is what we need, good clear communication in what you are doing to rectify the problems. We do not expect perfection from tech companies, and we are well aware that sometimes issue can and do occur, what makes us consumers decide to stick with a brand or not is how they react to and rectify these issues. Well done, at last, for this communication. thank you again
