  1. So I figured out the issue. The Lighting Node Pro which came with the RGB strips could be powered via an external USB port. The Commander Core XT cannot. I picked up a 3.0 to 2.0 header adapter and put that in place. Everything is now working like it should be. The XT is appearing in iCue and now I can configure it.
  2. So through some additional looking around I've discovered an unknown device appearing in device manage in the usb hub area. I think it's failing to be recognized by windows through a usb port on the rear panel to install the correct drivers. I cannot seem to find any sort of driver installation package for it to work around this, so if this is the problem I have a solution, if it'll work. As I stated previously my mobo doesn't have any usb 2.0 headers, but it does have two 3.0, both of which are in use. I'm curious if I can get a usb 3.0 splitter and plug both my current usb 3.0 cables into the same 3.0 port then get a 3.0 to 2.0 adapter and plug the Core XT through it. I guess I could also find a card pcie x16 slot is available for one so. Does this sound feasible?
  3. I couldn't find anything about configuration taking place first. The Lighting Node Pro immediately kicked the lights on during post so I assumed that the same would happen with the XT. In my late night haze I forgot to mention that I did boot the machine up to Windows and launched iCue and it wasn't being recognized there. It was however still listing the Lighting Node Pro which had been completely removed from the system. Also to note- I don't actually have any usb 2.0 headers on my board that I could find, only 3.0, so this is also being attempted with a 9 pin usb 2.0 to usb adapter running to a usb port on the rear panel of the system. I again apologize for the original lack of detail in the original post (and for any that may come up again lol).
  4. Good evening, Having a slight issue here with some lighting. I recently picked up a new rig and decided to deck it out with some lights and whatnot. I originally picked up the Lighting Node Pro with the 4 led strip. I am currently using it along with a usb cable running through the back of the system to access a USB port, and it works well. I decided to introduce a new corsair psu(https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/CORSAIR-iCUE/Power-Supplies/iCUE-CXF-RGB-White-Power-Supplies/p/CP-9020225-NA) The Corsair CX550F. It was after installation that I realized it would not run to the lightning pro as it needs 4 pin instead of 3. So I purchased a Commander Core XT. After removing the Lightning Node Pro I put the Commander Core XT in place, hooked up the led strips and attached the rbg for the power supply and the sata power. I decided to turn it on and make sure everything was firing, however no light strips came on, and the hardware setting for the psu kicked in. I thought maybe it was an issue where the usb 2.0 wasn't plugged in yet so I correct that, however it still will not display any lighting from the strips. I put the Lighting Node Pro back in place and they started right up. I'm curious as to the possibility that the power supply is the issue? Any ideas?
