My earphones go very loud randomly

I've also been coming across this situation all of a sudden, has been happening for the past month and I can't figure out why. Been using my own EQ settings and the headset is always sufficiently charged. Only happens when I'm in a xbox party or messenger call and it lasts for roughly 5 seconds before returning to normal.
