  1. Thank you for all the info, so basically, if i use 30mm rad then LL vs ML elite wont make much difference in both noise and temps. I know that choosing fans before choosing rads and other parts isnt the best idea but due to my sometimes limited time building that loop might take some time and i would like to have at least some good airflow while everything is still on air 🙂
  2. Thanks for the info, i will consider multiple rads before making the final decisions on water cooling parts
  3. Here are two screenshots of device settings menu (which also shows current draw) wile running sea of thieves on my 3090 and also windows VM running in the background
  4. Thank you, yeah, i dont really need 2000+rpm, was just asking due to all the difference, thanks for explaining 🙂 I plan to, at least for now leave the cpu on my h150i PRO XT which i think is 28mm thick, as for GPU rads i havent decided yet, its my first time making a custom watercooling loop so im gonna take my time to research everything to get comfortable with building the loop and then decide on all the parts for the loop (tubes, fittings, rads, pump, etc.) but i just have to get fans first while deciding details for the loop as i only have 3 ML120 on h150i acting as top exhaust and absolutley nothing else and it just gets loud and its clearly not enough to cool everything so that is why i want to get fans first while im researching and getting watercooling parts, i just want to get suitable fans, put them inside the case to make it look better and get better airflow and then move them onto rads once i get all the parts and start building the custom GPUs loop
  5. You replied just as i reposted this same question on corsair subreddit, nice timing 🙂 For now i would like to keep the h150i, this case can fit 480 on the front, 360 on the top (currently taken up by h150i with fans setup as top exhaust pushing trough h150i rad) 120 at the back and 360 on the bottom but only if i were to remove HDD cage from the bottom At first i didn't intend to water cool anything other than CPU using just an AIO but i realized that two 3090 on air aint gonna end well so decided to water cool them I want to get fans before getting any watercooling parts so i can at least temporarly have more airflow for a single 3090 and other components (having only 3 exhaust fans makes it super loud even at the moment) and second 3090 wont be installed into the build until i get all the watercooling parts which may take a while as it will be my first time doing it and i am gonna take my time researching a lot before i commit to buying any parts but fans i absolutley need first because fans can at least be used for case airflow while im getting ready to get my watercooling parts and then fans can be moved to their rads once everything is ready My plan for now is to try a single 480 for GPUs, the thing with running two 3090s is that for 30xx series SLI in games works only in 15 (literally, no joke, just 15 titles are supported with nvidia ampere gpus for SLI) so like 90% of the time i will actually be gaming with just one GPU and single 480 should be more than enough for it, the only time when i am actually gonna load both 3090s is when rendering large 3d scenes and at that point i am not too worried about noise when running a single 480 rad because i only let scenes render when i am away so noise is not a concern outside of gaming which as i already said will mostly be using a single 3090 while second one will idle producing very little heat and if a single 480 ends up causing problem there is nothing stopping me from adding some more radiators to my loop and even adding my cpu to the loop at a later date so the possibilty of adding more rads and cpu into the loop is defenitly there and if i feel comforable with doing watercooling i might end up doing it even if singe 480 ends up being enough But i will worry about adding more rads when i get to that point, my main concern now are fans as whatever decision regarding amount of rads and loop i make, the fans used will be the ones i get now unless i end up having to add more fans but for now plan is 10 fans as thats how many free fan slots i have in my case (would be 11 if i removed bottom hdd cage to free up a slot) can also put 4 more on the side next to front rad but for now i will try with just 10, you can see all possible fan and rads configs on phanteks site for this case I think im completley ditchin option on old version of ML fans and if i choose ML im gonna go with those new elite ones, QL i immidiatley said i probably wont get as they are 100% most expensive ones and according to some posts online seems like they perform even worse than LL and that tey are louder than LL, cant find exactly how worse and how louder but apperently QL are overall great rgb fans but worse performers than LL Now, New ML elite seem like a no brainer choice as they have 8 LEDs in HUB which makes them look a lot better than old ML Pro fans but LLs with their 4 hub leds and 12 ring leds look really good (again, QL looks even better and really tempting but its most expensive and apparetnly worst performer for rads) so it think in the end it might come down to just ML Elite VS LL Do you maybe know how much worse are LLs gonna perform, some people say maybe 1-2c which isnt the end of the world while some say its more than 1-2c and how much louder are hey exactly, like how noticable is LL vs ML when running at comparable performance. Oh, and regarding the issue fans on pump controller and fans on controller running at different speeds, cant that be solved with ICUE? If not i can probably use splitters according to some corsair commander connections diagrams and guides here on the forums, commander pro has 2 led ports and in each port you connect a hub that then runs RGB for 6 fans, as for PWM control i have seeon two solutions for 10 fans so far, one is to use 6 ports on the commander and 3 ports on the aio pump for 9 fans and then 10th fan can share one of ports using pwm splitter Other solution is to use just a commander and pwm splitters to have all fans hooked up to commander and in case i need that solution my phanteks case already includes a powered fan splitter (and besides splitters are cheap) that can output both pwm and DC control at the same time and can also accept both pwm and dc control and convert them to their respective port for example you give it PWM input but have both DC and PWM fans, just connect to repsctive splitter ports and it will just pass through PWM to PWM fans and convert PWM to DC control for other fans and vice versa, cool feature 🙂
  6. Here is how everything looks in icue if you are interested since you dont own it You can see voltage, amps and watts for all the voltages (3.3v, 5v and 12v) and you can also see efficiency in realtime overall power input from the socket and overall power output, temperature and fan RPM Ignore the fact that mine is at 40c when pc is idling, its usually MUCH MUCH lower than that at idle its just that its summer and i have to wait until next year to install new Air Conditioner and i live in Croatia and it gets really hot during summer and even when not playing games my room gets to like 35c so i am basically cooking myself and my hardware whenever i fire up a demanding game like cyberpunk lol 🙂 Fan stays at zero RPM unless one or more of this conditions are met: Drawing 650w of power on 12v or 100w on 5v or if temperature is too high (exact numbers might be a bit different as i dont remember exactly) I have never had fan on this PSU turn on due to temperature, it only ever turned on when power draw was high and its really quiet. If you click any of the number you get a graph of that value, also if you click on Power In wattage graph it also shows you the AC mains voltage input which is cool, in some places your ac mains voltage can vary depending on load on power plant so this way you can see how much your mains volages varies throught the day without sticking multimeter probes in sockets, not really an important feature but its cool to have it You can set it to single rail OCP mode and Multi rail OCP mode and then set OCP current for each rails, if some device on the rail exceeds the current limit you have set for that rail the PSU will trip and shutdown itself. All in all its a great and quality PSU, it feels solid and heavy in hands, modular cables come in a cool roll-up bag and you have 3 different colors of magnetic side "sticker" so you can match your build color if you have one of the cases with PSU window that makes it visible The only thing that bothered me just a little bit is that included cables are not pretty, for example, EPS, PCIE and 24pin all have just a single big sleeve iver all wires at once instade of sleeve over every invidual wire and they also have heatshrink at near the connectors that make them kinda stick out and makes them hard to hide in tight places near the connectors but since its a modular power supply nothing stops you from getting new cables, you can get premium corsairs set of invidually sleeved cables or even custom ones from cablemod if you want so its not that big of an issue, i personally still havent replaced them and for now i am still using stock cables that came with the power supply. If you have any questions regarding this PSU let me know and i will try to answer as i had this PSU for like 6 months now, took a long time to arrive once i ordered due to covid but when it finally arrived it was great 🙂
  7. This does not seem to work properly, dashboard show only overall voltage, wattage amps temperature efficency and fan RPM and input AC voltage when you click input wattage (shows input volts above the watts graph) but in device setting you can only see amps for cables and rails in multirail mode, cant see wattage and voltage, just amps It isnt a big issue as you can caluclate watts using volts and amps but still something worth mentioning 🙂 Also encountered a bug with this, in device setting in multirail mode you cannot scroll to see more rails for some reason, you can see parts of + and - symbols for more entries in the menu but it wont scroll down no matter what
  8. Higher numbers are listed for rpm too, looks like black max out at 1500 while white at 2200, found some mentions on testing that supports that somewhere (cant find again, will post if i find it) Which do you think would be best option, i have h150i xt pro and wanna replace 3 non rgb ML fans with some rgb fan and i want to temporarly fill slots in my case with RGB fans to make it look less empty and then when i get all the parts needed for my GPU costum loop CPU will stay with AIO and two 3090 ftw3 will be cooled by their own custom loop so i then want to move those fans from case to radiators and leave any other fans that are left just on case, i have hard time deciding, LL and QL have better RGB old ML has less rgb but better cooling than LL and QL for rads and new ML seem to have a bit better RGB and best cooling but still have less RGB than QL or LL I really have hard time deciding which to get for my setup, i need in total 10 fans, i have made a seperate thread about it here on the forum so hoepfuly i get more info soon and finally make my final decision, its just too hard choosing RGB vs Cooling lol 🙂 Corsair should really make ML fans with looks of LL and QL, then it would be no brainer 🙂
  9. I heard that new (8 LED) ML fans are better at cooling than old (4 LED) ML how loud are new (8 LED) ML fans compared to old (4 LED) ML? Also, since im considering multiple fans for my build including LL how much louder are LL White and LL Black (White and Black have a bit different specs) compared to the new 8 LED ML fans?
  10. I have Phanteks Enthoo 719 case, my CPU (10900k) is currently being cooled by Corsair H150i RGB PRO XT AIO which includes 3 ML120 without RGB. I need in total 10 fans, 3 to replace the non RGB ML120 on my AIO and the rest for custom water cooling loop for two Evga RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra GPUs and for filling some empty fan slots in my case. At the moment i have one 3090 being cooled by air and second one will be here in a week or two (i ordered it trough family member in Germany and it already arrived to him so i am just waiting for him to get it to me) so thats when i will start planing how my custom loop for GPUs will look so in the meantime whatever fans i get will just be mounted in the case and the AIO and then moved to the rads once i get to making the custom loop for GPUs I have considered this 4 options ML120 Pro RGB (only 4 LEDs) ML120 Elite RGB (the new ones with 8 LEDs) LL120 RGB Black or maybe white version as those seem to have different specs for some reason QL120 RGB (i am considering them but i think in the end i will probably not choose them as they are most expensive ones compared to all others i listed) I really cant decide which ones to get, old ML120 have great cooling for radiators and are really quiet but with just 4 LEDs the RGB isnt really great but they are the cheapest option LL120 while a bit more expensive they have much better looking RGB but from what i have heard they are not as good for radiators and are a bit louder but the question is how much worse performance and how much louder and i have also heard of some issues like hot spots on LEDs... plus if i would choose those, would white version be better than black since white ones seem to have a bit better specs... New ML120 (8 LED) seem to have better performance and lower noise compared to even old ML12 (4 LED) and seem to be a nice compromise betwene old ML120 and LL120 but they are a bit more expensive than even LL120 QL120 look absolutley amazing but are most expenisve so im 95% sure i wont choose those but im gonna at least consider them when deciding, according to some posts these seem to be the worst option for radiators might even be the loudest off all the listed fans, i have even heard of issues like LEDs dying often (afaik can happen on others too but is most common on QL) I know this is Corsair forum but i hope its okay to at least ask what do you all think of Lian Li UNI Fans (the latest Infinity version) compared to all of the listed Corsair fans, after all if i end up getting anything other than ML fans i might as well at least consider a little bit other brands offerings 🙂 Anyway, what would you choose for my build, with a single 3090 and 10900k on h150i aio with 3 ML120 non rgb fans (no other fans besides 3 on rad at all in my case currently) my system already makes a lot of noise and since they are ML fans its not a motor noise but air blowing noise and it can get really loud when gaming. I 100% want RGB fans as the case is really big and i dont have much RGB lights in the case currently, just the components i have are providing RGB light currently which isnt really lighting up case that much, i do have Razer HDK light strips and controller but i kinda wanna put that behind my table to light up the wall as the Razer HDK strips are CRAZY bright Even for water cooling i wont go too crazy and it will be probably all soft tubing for dual GPUs and will stay on AIO for CPU so it probably wont fill up the case much so having RGB fans will help it look better and less empty. Keep in mind, whatever fans i end up getting 3 will immidiatley replace non RGB ML120s on my H150i and rest will go just into a case to help with airflow for rest of the components and a single 3090 and then once i get all the parts for water cooling GPUs i will then install the second 3090 then 3 fans will stay on h150i, the rest will move from case to GPU loop rad and whatever is left will stay as additional case fans without any rad. You can see my full setup on my forum profile, i appriciate any suggestions regarding fans as i really have hard time deciding which ones to get for my build. If you need any more details about my build let me know and i will try to answer as much as possible 🙂
  11. Just a quick update, my family from Germany just informed me PSU arrived 26.05 As i am in Croatia they will bring it to me asap when they come to visit :-) For anyone wondering why i even ordered it though family in Germany when i live in Croatia, it was on sale at alternate for 477€, which is a lot cheaper compared to Croatia retailers Unfortunatley GPUs were delayed again due to shortage so still no complete build.... Anyway, i cant wait for them to bring me my new PSU so i can at least test it with igpu or some older gpu if i can borrow from my friend :-)
  12. Has anyone here got their ax1600i, i still havent got any updates from alternate.de
  13. Sorry for the late reply, is there any ETA when supply will be more stable since new IC has been found. Also, can consumer be sure that the replacement IC will be same quality as the old one, some ssd manufacturers change components with lower quality ones over time so new buyers get lower quality product for same price, i hope that this wont be the case with Corsair and this PSU.
  14. Power cord is not a problem to me but cant find any uk versions in stock either, dont both EU and uk use same components how would it be easier to find uk model than EU model when its a component shortage problem
  15. This is really getting annoying, i have ordered Ax1600i from alternate.de in december last year (i live in Croatia but often order parts in germany cause often it is cheaper and i have family there who can bring parts to me when they come to visit) I am still waiting for my PSU, alternate keeps moving deliverily date furthure and furthure, just few days ago they told me i will be getting my PSU 01.04 now they moved it 01.07, thats 4 months more waiting..... This is getting worse and worse, no GPUs and now no PSUs, i have all my parts except psu and GPUs, if i could get at least my PSU i could at least use my new build even if its with integrated graphics At this rate im gonna get my 3090 before my PSU, 3090s at least appear from time to time on some retailers while psu literally dissapeared and hasnt come back for months. I will probably have my first 3090 in next month or two and second one for SLI hopefully this fall but there is no use in having even one for now when i have nothing to power it.... Im stuck with a freaking lenovo laptop with i3 6100u, 8GB ram and gt 940mx 4GB vram, decent laptop for Internet use and some overwatch at 900p, but almost unusable for the project im working on, getting any proper work done in unreal engine is almost impossible with such specs and even worse is trying to model complex characters and objects in blender or autodesk maya. I feel like im slowly going crazy, cant get any work done in my project due to this damn component shortages, the funniest thing is that it really looks like i will have my first 3090 by the end of next month while still waiting for psu. I tought gpus are hardest to find but it seems psu will be even harder to get..... Sorry for long post, just had to vent, this shortage and not being able to continue my projects is really killing me :-(
