My new k55 is experiencing the same thing, when the update is attempted via iCUE (either via the home - lower left corner notification, or via the K55 in the settings tab), the update starts, immediately disconnects the K55 from iCUE and then fails.
All suggestions in the referenced threads have been tried without success.
iCUE is updated to the latest version.
Given this has been a known issue for over a year, is there a way to get and install the update outside of the iCUE program?
