Hey guys
I had a Scimitar Pro for around 2.5 years that was amazing, and it died on me the other day. I wanted another, as it's been the best mouse I've had but it's been discontinued, but I got the next best thing, the Scimitar Elite. It just arrived today and I'm having trouble getting it to work nicely with iCue
I have a bunch of profiles I want to copy over from my old mouse to my new mouse. I want to copy over everything - DPI settings, lighting and actions (mainly actions as it's the most important thing for me right now). As far as I can tell, all the profiles I have are software profiles, not hardware ones (though I can't see anywhere to confirm it, but there's profiles called "Scimitar Pro HW 1" etc, which I'm not using).
You'd think that if I plug in a new device, I would at least have the option to copy all profiles to said device - or, if they're all software profiles, doesn't iCue intercept the mouse button and do things based on that? If it's got the same buttons, why can't I just plug in my new Scimitar and not have to worry about any of it?
Anyway, I plug in my new mouse, and nothing happens. I can see all my profiles there, but all the important stuff like the actions are gone. I plug my old mouse in at the same time and can switch between them, and my old mouse has the right amount of actions on it, and the right dpi settings, but the new mouse has 0 actions and the default dpi settings.
I've tried to export/import profiles, and that doesn't work either - it either imports with 0 actions, or the wrong actions (possibly the default actions?)
Is there something amazingly obvious that I'm missing here that just makes this work, or do I have to physically go through each action, copy it to my library, go to the new mouse, paste the action from the library in and repeat for everything, then manually set up each dpi setting I need again?
I'm running firmware version 3.20 on my Scimitar Elite (latest), and 3.14 on my Pro (also latest), with iCue version 3.33.246
Thanks in advanced!
