  1. I wanted to respond to this as well, since I am using a Razer Barracuda AC-1 sound card with Windows 10, and if C-media is not running, the card is very wonky with optical out. C-media essentially allows an output signature to be constantly broadcast to my speakers to keep them awake and ready to receive audio, otherwise the speakers will go to sleep with no AC-1 sound output, even for a fraction of a second, and makes listening to them annoying (old school Logitech Z5500). Installing the drivers without C-media gives Windows 10 control over the card, and there are no options for Dolby Digital or dtc, nor the ability to keep the speakers awake, so I needed to find a way to make c-media play nice with icue. Anyways, the c-media application from the Asus Xonar Unified Driver package is ran as HsMgr64.exe and HsMgr.exe on system startup. I have two startup entries for this executable, for whatever reason, under C:\Windows\System and C:\Windows\SysWOW64, respectively. I modified both of these exes to run as administrator, and in compatibility mode for Windows 7. This seems to have fixed the icue.exe error on shutdown. I'm not sure if administrator is required, or if only one of these files is required to be modified, but I will check on this later. Hope this helps other people with this issue and happen to be running the Razer Barracuda AC-1.
