  1. Love that last sentence, let the market dictate what you buy. 3200 vs 3600, as mentioned not much difference. Including the price. I found myself going for 3600.
  2. Thanks for the assurance. I'll be very happy with 3600Mhz. That's what i paid for. Any stability issues, I'll use two sticks. 64gb is very respectable and good enough for my workloads. 128Gb is over Kill, although not really sure. This is my first Big Build for a long time. Focused on gaming with the hope it's going to last 5 Years +. In the past I've always regretted not maxing out the ram. As programs change/update including windows, I always find ram gets gobbled up eventually. Thanks for your suggestions. much appreciated.
  3. I was thinking scratch disk, probably a little small for that. None the less I'll test it. I'm a little concerned about using two kits. Anxiety is building. Can't wait to actually see if they work well together. I've done a lot of reading about using two kits. Most don't. It's a risky strategy. Some do. You save about 15%. and if you have a faulty stick, you don't have to send the whole kit back, that's rare I guess. One comment, was...manufactures want you to buy in bulk and pay a premium for it. Crazy. Referring to binned kits. I kinda agree. To give myself the best chance, I ordered these at the same time from the same place, Corsair web site, shipped from Taiwan. It would seem Corsair did everything to make sure I didn't get consecutive batch's. Time will tell if that matters.
  4. Interesting concept, now I'm getting excited. Shame windows can't do it natively? I'll give it more study.
  5. Got My Ram today. Not consecutive batch numbers. I'm quietly confident they will work together. Choose the cheaper option, hope it pays off. Parts are still on order for my build. Gonna test them soon.
  6. Thanks for your reply KILLER_K. Just spent the last hour Studying my motherboard's supported ram list. It seems the more expensive (CMK128GX4M4D3600C18) 4 sticks of 32G, isn't actually supported, it's not on the list anyway, probably has a Samsung chip set....Which i would prefer. The cheaper (CMK64GX4M2D3600C18) 2 sticks 32G, is on the list, Hynix is the chip set. As it is supported and cheaper that's the one i'm going for. I'll give it more study. As the list doesn't mention 4 slots. 128GB seems a bit of a gray area. My board can use four slots, I think it mentions two slots and not four because it's relative to the SKU.
  7. Hi everyone Could someone please explain why CMK128GX4M4D3600C18 is more expensive than 2 x CMK64GX4M2D3600C18, I'm thinking I can buy 2 of the above to give me 128gb. Matched?...surely won't make a big difference? Many thanks Angelo
