Hello, I have the same issue. I purchased a T1 Racer on March 23rd, 2020 and noticed the same issue: the gas lift is the wrong shape and sinks right through until he thicker section at the top stops it, meaning that the chair will not rise to the advertised height. I phoned German support and was sent a new gas lift immediately. It arrived today. Unfortunately, it is the same type. I have got in touch with German support again, and I am hoping for a workable solution. I don't want to return the chair as it is comfortable and attractive otherwise. -Delahunt
