ok awesome I didn't even think to try that out. thanks for the help! Update: thanks for your suggestion ETHREAL1 it worked out perfectly hopefully I have no more problems from the mouse until they push out a fix for it. thanks again!

I tried to update my firmware but for whatever reason my devices wouldn't update it just failed over and over again. so I just give up until corsair fixes this issue in a few months maybe.

Tried out having the iCue program up and running while I was gaming for the past 3 days and have yet to have my mouse settings reset or crash whatever you wanna call it. Idk if I am just getting lucky or what but seems if you have it minimized or dropped to the system tray it breaks the mouse. Not really sure why this is seeing as that's not my job to figure these things out its Corsairs. Hopefully at patch for this is out soon. Plz let me know if this helps anyone. I will update in a day or so if it stops working.

Also having this problem for the past month. Basically an RMA is worthless for this seeing as I just received a brand new mouse from corsair due to and RMA for a broken scroll wheel after this post already had ppl complaining about the problem. I really hope this gets fixed soon because there is really no excuse for a problem as bad as this effecting as many ppl as it is to still be happening. Come on Corsair do better please. I really love the mouse but this problem is really irritating to say the least. There is nothing like being right in the middle of a huge fight hitting 4th mouse button *melee* for me and switching weapons instead. cant count how many times this has cause problems.
